Interesting you should mention Murry, because as the season progressed I noticed his arc in his shot flattened somewhat as did his shooting percentage.
His individual scoring effort seemed to decrease on average from halfway until the end of the season, maybe because he was being targeted during the last half of the season. But, to me anyway, he needs to work on:

    1) Keeping a good arc in his shot.
    2) Dribble pullup shots.
    3) Perhaps, a little quicker release.

Although, Murry is definately a 'difference maker' when he is on his game.

It did seem that way, but he was rather consistent.

      Ist 17 games; 37.6% FGA; 32.9% 3-pt and 75.6% FT
      games 18-33; 38.1% FGA; 31.9% 3-pt and 76.1% FT

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

The coaching staff said they wanted to change Murry's shot a bit, but didn't want to do so during the season. They tried tweaking Hatch's shot during the season and it didn't work so well. It did show that Hatch could be more than just a zone-buster. I think Hatch's shot will improve given time, but I think it shows how successful KR's work-out programs can be. Harch went from why did we recuit this guy to why weren't we starting this guy.

I think we need to wait until the 2010-11 season to look for a breakout from Stutz. I think he will be improved this year, which isn't expecting a lot, but I don't think we're going to start seeing his real potential this year.

If Durley decides to apply himself on the court, in practice, in the weight room, and with some attitude, he could be a beast. If any of Ramon's attitude rubbed off on JT and JT is willing to get physical on the court, he could be scary good.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Let's just see how good that Stutz is next year instead of like an armchair QB deciding that Stutz can't be good this year just because he didn't dominate the league this year. I think you would be surprised how fast he will come along. I think he is going to contribute in 09-10.

I'd like to see Stutz get redshirted for the 2009-2010 season, but I don't know if he's interested in redshirting. I thought I read somewhere on here that he didn't want to redshirt.

If he did redshirt, that would put him in the same class as EO.

I think Stutz will make big strides this year. It is a tough tranisition for big men to adjust to the speed of the D-! game the first year. We will need him in the middle and he will respond.

Attended a lunch today with Coach Marshall. He said everyone is in town working at pick up games except one player who will be in shortly.

Talked about how Torre and Clevin are telling him about other players, like Kenney M.---doesn't defend hard, etc. CM said this is what I am looking for, need leaders on this team that will say this is not acceptable to this program.

He really wants some of his players to step forward and take charge. In other words, Don't tell me. Tell them.

Seems like his main concern is to get some leaders on this team. This guy really knows what he is doing and I think our future looks great.

                          Like HCGM wouldn't have noticed!

I'm sure he would have, hence the reason why any player would feel the need to snitch. I believe if the "veterans" on the team see a problem with the new guy, then they need to get in the new guy's face and tell him what needs to change. See how that goes for awhile. If the light bulb isn't turning on, then go express your concern to HCGM.

Personally, I would rather have a co-worker give me advice than my manager. But hey, that's me.

If I can chime in a little, that is actually the way it happened. The leaders took control of that situation before it got to the coach which is what a coach would want from his leaders. From what I'm hearing they got immediate results. The only thing now is for them to learn to keep that type info inhouse so it don't get discussed on a message board.Young kids have to learn how to work hard that includes the weight room also. Most freshmen have never been in a real program, they excel on mostly talent and from that talent they are recruited.
