I NEVER say that to a Shocker fan.... only to ksu Big XII coat-tail hangin', cow-tippin' pie throwin' kitten fans.
Professional and cautious seem to be good descriptors of his answers, as opposed to "the biggest jerk in college basketball" which was used to describe our coach.
And after looking at several other threads, it's very obvious that it's NOT a rivalry..
Don't lower our program to the standards of CU by calling them a rival. We have NO rivals in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Oops. Sorry! I forgot about our rivalry with Memphis!
And Duke!
And North Carolina!
Well, at least you set your standards high with that one. I don't understand your infatuation with wanting CU to be a rival of WSU. It's demeaning to the WSU program. Again.... we currently have no rival in the Missouri Valley Conference. In the 60s it was Cincinnati and Tulsa, in the 70s and 80s it was Tulsa. CU doesn't even register... not even close.

I don't 'want' anything from sCUm. I could care less about them. But it is what it is.
I noticed you stopped at the 80's. Who was our rivals of the 90's? What about now?
We're rival-less, right?
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Yes, unfortunately due to geography and history, I'd have to think we are without rivals. We might be a rival of CUs, but I don't consider them a rival of the Shox. At least I hope not. If so, it indicates how much the wings have been clipped from our proud program.
ShockerFever, I'm not a big fan of the current Missouri Valley Conference. I get excited to beat the teams ahead of us, but as I've said before---- there is no one team in the Valley with which I circle the calendar before the season starts and absolutely love to beat. It all depends on their standing in the Valley race - NOT their school. CU, Drake, ISU-blue, UE, etc... They are all the same to me.
