It's not amazing at all -- College Basketball is BIG business, even for the little guys. If Thomas succeeds at FIU, then it not only brings notice to the school, but to the conference -- just like Calipari did to Memphis. More success = more butts in the seats = more $$ in the budget = more ability to attract better recruits. The stream has to start somewhere.Originally posted by mattdaltComment

I agree that success can mean BIG business for the college/university. But I stand by my earlier sentiment, What in Isiah's post-NBA career would indicate he will have success? He was run out of Toronto, Single-handedly bankrupted the CBA, ruined the Knicks in a long-term sort of way, and forced his employer, the Knicks, to have to pay an 11+ million settlement for sexual harrassment.It's not amazing at all -- College Basketball is BIG business, even for the little guys.
