A sighting of :poster_eo: would be nice.

Without a sellout, the :thewave: won't be much fun.

If Rodney Pierce starts scoring at will I'll be like , then like :ohno: and hoping I don't or  on the way home.

Could this be a SN record for emoticons?

      • If it is a record, I hope no one attempts to challenge it.

          • Anyone know where we stand on tickets sold?

            • I just picked up my tickets around noon or so... I asked the guy at the window how many tickets had been sold and he told me, "...just over 6,000. We're looking at probably around 8,000 or so at the game."

Wow, that's sad. I'm guessing the University made a $40,000 mistake by not spending a couple grand on some TV spots.

very sad! Too bad! I hope WSU doesn't lose money over this whole deal.

Even if they do lose money on the deal, I see it as an investment for the future of our program. This gives the young'uns some experience in a postseason tournament.

                    • Financially we shouldn't lose, even with the $60K to the CBI. If we've sold 6000 tickets, that is $120K already.

I still feel like a dork for buying my season ticket seats. You can bet we will be moving down if the opportunity presents itself!

                      • They aren't losing money. They just may not make as much as they could have, assuming more advertisement would result in more tickets sold - enough to make up for the ad costs.

Personally, I don't think the ads would do much good. An anecdote or two aside, I can't imagine there are many WSU fans who don't know about this. With access to the internet, TV and newspaper, if you don't care enough about WSU to pay attention (it was largely known the game would happen for almost a week), then you're probably not much of a fan and not likely to attend this game anyway.

Neither the CBI or the opponent is going to draw in the casual fan.

                        Just my take on it.

                        • Everybody call/e-mail all your friends and try to encourage them to go. A lot of kids are on Spring Break. The game would be a great mid week treat.

I thought they had 6,000 as of 1:00 p.m. YESTERDAY. They must not have sold many for the last 24 hours. Not good.

I'm pretty sure I read that they are. If you go to GoShockers.com, the CBI article they have mentions this, I believe.
