I will now only watch the first-round games with non-bcs schools playing. This is a joke.

It is obvious that if they are using the "eye test," then they need to change optometrists.

What a copout: "whole body of work."

What he left out was: "whole body of work by a BCS school."

Does any body know how much ($) WSU would get if CU gets in and loses in the first round?

I am not a Creighton fan by any measure, but I think the question is, or should be, "how much would WSU lose by Creighton, or any other Valley team not being in?"

You know it's gotten bad when even the "talking heads" are bashing the comittee for only have 4 non-bcs teams as at-larges.

What they need to do is have a computer assign a number to all schools that are eligible for an at large bid. The computer would give stength of schedule, home record, road record, RPI, non-conference record, last 10 games, etc of each team.

Now the selection committee sees a team only as a number and can't put a team name to that number. So they don't know if the teams they're putting into the tournament are from a BCS conference or a mid-major conference and therefore can't be biased.

The NCAA pays the Valley x amount of money(the payment increases the farther you go in the tourney) and then the Valley divides the money into elevenths, CU would get two shares while everyone else gets one.

To answer your question we would get half the money the competing team gets.

I would love to see what the outcome of that would be.

So what you're saying is that WSU probably has made more money in it's one tournament appearance than CU has in their ... however many appearances that they've had?

I have no idea, it would help if I had some figures to look at for how much is dished out each round.

Yes, and it could be even more dangerous -- NDSU's best player is Ben Woodside.

from a high of 12 a few years ago to 4. Plenty of crappy average teams from power conferences.

If it goes lower yet again next year, look out.
It's simple. The NCAA viewed 2006 as an embarrassment. They don't want to chance another George Mason happening.

This tournament might not be watched a lot by me..
                              Deuces Valley.
                              ... No really, deuces.

I agree completely and with all the coaches that made a HUGE stink about the 4 bids to the Valley...etc. I really didn't think it would get to THIS point though.
