It isn't fair that the team that performed the best in the league, UNI, gets to practice as a team for at least 2 weeks, perhaps longer, while the rest of our conference sits around stairing at the walls..
I actually disagree with that statement. You get what you deserve. It's even more of an incentive to want to play well through the season so you get extra games at the end.
Like I said, I'm all for us in this thing since we're in it, but how many damn postseason tourneys are there gonna be?
Pretty soon 2/3 of Division I will be playing basketball when they surely did not deserve it.
I guess I'm in the minority when I say postseason should be something that is rightfully earned. IMO, that stops at the NIT.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Fever, I agree about the playing, in fact I would like these tournaments to go away, but I want an even playing field for the teams to practice.
That's all I am asking for.......and let's face it, without an even playing field, all they are doing is tilting the table in favor of the bcs'ers of the world. And the inequity will get worse and worse.
I just saw on the CBI website that the championship is decided by a 3 game series. That means we have the potential of winning 5 more games if we play well in the tournament.

I can understand that issue.

We are getting wayyyyy too excited about the CBI...
P.S.
Unless we are the highest profile team in the tournament. Do you really think we are going to get any good teams to come to Koch? The CBI functions solely to turn a profit. Nobody cares if they are unfair. For their profit to be maximized, they need the "biggest" schools to have the easiest route to the finals.
I don't envision a Florida State NIT home game part deux. We are getting fill-in-the-blank for the deaf, dumb, and the blind.

Because we miss out on a few weeks of season-ending practice the tables are more tilted towards the BCS'rs?
