RPI doesn't seem to have anything to do with inclusion in post-season tournaments or even seeding in the tournaments. The two newer tournaments are even more about the revenue they can generate and butts in the seats. WSU is very good at drawing fans to the games and fans are very hungry for any post season action. They also look at how teams finished and we finished well. Not be be overlooked is the CBI is put on by the same people that put on the CBE that WSU will be participating in next year.

I'm not going to sit here and say ShockerNation is some all powerful beast that you must respect and fear.

All I'm going to say is that the folks in charge of next year's CBE do not want a group of irritated and slighted fans deciding they don't want to take their considerable fan base to KC to buy tickets etc over the long off season because they gave a poor seed/matchup.

You've seen what happens to a second rate, Jim Rome wannabee prack when he disses us.

I feel good about hosting 2 games if we fill the place but is has to be early....if it's last minute that may not be enough.

We clammered and campaigned for a home game...we got it.

Now what do we do with it?

        All talk and no Shock?

        Or Shocktastic?
I'll take Shocktastic for 2 games Doc!

          17-15, never forget
Yes, I know not of this 16-16 record that is bantered about from time to time.

            Who are we gonna get?

I would love to see Houston in so Penders could get his smarmy @$$ handed to him again.

            or

St. Louis so Majerus could get a taste of playing in The Valley. This ain't no crackerbox A-10 gymnasium! 8)

If it's truly regionally based perhaps the Bilikens or ORU. Does anyone know if the Shocks are considered West, South, or Midwest? Too bad they don't have a Great Plains paring for something other than the KCAC & NAIA.

Making money. That's the only thing the CBI cares about. That's why they made teams who entered the tournament last year pay $60k to participate. So I'm sure WSU is forking out the same cash (if not more) to participate this year hoping they'll make it up at the gate. WSU can pack the house, so they get a home game. I bet if WSU wins they'll get a 2nd round home game as well due to attendance.

I just did my share on line. $48 buckeroos.

Pretty soon, the prices will be equal to the Lakers' courtside.

We need to call this the 'Listerine' game. Get a the bad taste out of our mouth and start minty fresh for next season.

I want another BCS team to visit....screw Houston...let's get Iowa or a Big Ten team...opps I forgot...they received invites to the NCAA.

How about a Big East...oh wait a minute....they're all in the NCAA also.

I guess there's Texas Tech again.

I bet it won't be before the 10pm news. Seems like we didn't even hear about the NIT until after 9pm when we were in it.

Cool...earlier then I thought. Probably cause the NCAA runs it now so it doesn't take them as long to get it going as I'm sure they work pretty closely with the NCAA tourney comittee so they have a head start.

Honestly, I may be more interested in the NIT and it's matchups this year then I will be about the NCAA tourney. Freakin NCAA tourney is going to be a SNOOOOOZZZEEEE fest for the most part.
