I find it funny how respectful Georgetown fans were and Mich St and ridiculus these guys are!

Cleveland St is a very good squad. I would compare them to the top 3 in the Valley. They've won 6 straight, going from 5th place to tied for third, one game out of second. Included in those games was the team they past in the standings, the one they tied, and the one in second.
They are back to a full, healthy squad. One of their starters missed eight games and a top reserve missed 11. They had no bad losses in their non-con schedule, losing only to Washington, Kansas St, and West Virginia. Their worst loss in conference was to the 6th place team on the road. And yes, they did beat Syracuse. Lost to Butler at home by 2.
They have a veteran team with 4 seniors in the rotation who will probably come in to here having won 20 games after their seventh straight win this week.
All this being said, I do agree with everything Aargh said earlier.

It was mentoined that they douby WSU's atmosphere compares to Syracuse. How about thier own? Where's the pride of what our players might face next year?
I don't always check other teams' message boards. But I did this time. The cold lake effect winds seem to make those people a little bitter.Phi Alpha

Do not take them too lightly. At this site: www.masseyratings.com/cb/compare.htm which conglomerates all the various rating systems (Sagarin, etc.) they have Cleveland State at # 73; Wichita State at # 140. Not saying it is gospel, just that we need to be at the top of our game to beat them. Like we beat UNI.

We are down this year, we are in the middle of rebuilding, so none of us should be surprised if we lose this. They are a veteran team and given our history in bracketbuster games, they should win.
However, I can't wait for next season when we dominate thair arse.

Go Shocks!!!!
Should be a good game but the Shox do need to "bring it".

Forgive me for paraphrasing, but did anyone else hear the idiot color guy from ISU/Niagara say:
Main guy: Something or another about being bubble teams trying to get into tournament?
Color guy: They can't think about that. That won't help them. They need to enjoy this experience, actually getting to play someone outside thier conference.
These schools are from conferences that usually have 4 guys about 6'4 who play like guards and have one guy taller.

More quotes from the genius color guy:
"Tremendous Basketball Tradition"
"Sold out and raucus Gallagher Arena here at Niagara"
The 2.400 seat Gallagher Center means different things to different people. To Purple Eagles fans, it means great atmosphere, roaring crowds, and Niagara victories. To opponents, it means intimidation, deafening noise, and a likely defeat.
Also did some research about "Tremendous Basketball tradition" and found that they have been to 3 NCAA tournaments, including a Sweet 16 visit in 1970. They also went in 2005 and 2007 where they lost 1st round games.
I'm not trying to pick on Niagara, but they seem to be getting a lot of love from the commentators while dissing ISU and the Valley.

Ouch...I sure wish that Illinois St. team would've played the Shox Wednesday. I'm not sure what the spread was but Eldridge and Holloway's play was so bad it was almost fishy.
I also wonder why Phillips didn't play in the 2nd half. They seemed to close the gap when he came in at the end of the 1st.
