Shock Ref--I understand your post, but my Friday night game thread was tilted towards recruiting.
Agree with you on the scheduling part--GM cannot help it, but file it away.
And what t-shirt are you wearing? Women's Basketball....

Seriously, if you're going to troll, people are going to talk crap on your worthless school who the rest of the Big 12 wish would go D2 and make room for someone who can actually compete in a sport that matters.

You seem so concerned about our players, but at least the players we recruit don't shoot each other. At least our coach doesn't cover up murders. WSU has had a #8 ranking and a Sweet 16 appearance in the past few years. We're doing just fine. Maybe you should bring your worries about Friday night games to the Baylor board; they seem to need more help than us.

Shock fever--Please saaaave your comments on my knowledge of Shocker athletics. Trust me, I know more than you think.

And Marty Moose with another stellar performance...hmm ripping women's basketball, sports that matter (i will not mention bowling), players shooting each other--Keep it up....

Once again not sure how this turned into a Baylor thread, but anyway--carry on

You really don't know? Just curious, how many shocker fans troll on the Baylor boards...for that matter does anyone from any school waste their time trolling on the Baylor boards (that's assuming Baylor even has a message board)? I'll hang up and listen.

Friday night Shocker games are not common but I was there along with 10,205 other fans. Today, I will watch the game again on Shocker Vision. Our recruiting process is improving and is quite exciting thanks to the diligent efforts of Coach Marshall and his Staff. :wsu_posters:
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Anybody can do research. You've been proved you know nothing about college basketball or sports in general.

You're not even a good troll. That's the worst kind.

            ... No really, deuces.

And the majority of teams have them. Who cares?

                What's your point again?

Reading comprehension. Friday night games suck, so does a game on New Years Eve. I don't care what team is playing them, the point stands.

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

And there haven't really been many City League kids worth going nuts over in recent memory. Of course we'd all like to get the ones that could actually help us, but the only one in recent memory that could have was Cyphers. And I'm still not sure that he's any better than what we brought in.

There are some kids now that we have out eyes on, and missing one friday game because of this isn't going to hurt our chances with them one bit. This whole topic is ridiculous.

Once again--I do not get it.

City League has the best talent it has had in a long long time and instead of our coaches watching recruits in action they have to coach a game.

                        Any day but Friday.

                            Re: Friday night game?

Why? What college basketball team plays a friday night game?
Friday, 11/12/2010: Grambling State vs Baylor @ Waco, Texas

I'm sure there are many others around the nation. Is it preferable - No. Does it happen - Yes, but not all that frequently to be an issue. Why - the vagaries of scheduling especially for Mid-Majors are myriad in number.

15 D-1 games tonight (bringing the total to 273 season-to-date):
Live scores for NCAAM games on December 10, 2010 on ESPN. Includes box scores, video highlights, play breakdowns and updated odds.

Also it is always good to give tickets to the high school players so they can attend the games in person.
Not sure, but I would not be surprised if there were some NCAA rules restricting this practice. Does anyone know? Recruiting visits?

I will hang up and listen.
                            Really?

                              No change

Just as silly two years later -- some people never change. One single game still doesn't matter. Actually, I heard that the Shocks tried to schedule Nicholls on Sunday, but the Colonels were reluctant to play a doubleheader.

Oh, well. I'd also be surprised if it was legal to give high school kids free tickets, 1972 (although Dave Bliss probably didn't mind). By the way, this isn't just a basketball phenomenon; Boise State played three football games on Fridays this year, and they seem to be able to recruit okay.
