Getting smacked around by Michigan State in our Sweet 16 season helped us a LOT down the road.

I'm not going to be sad if that happens again. However, who wouldn't love a win or a nail-biter?

      MSU - 82
      WSU - 60

I don't think WSU is ready to put 3 great efforts in a row in 4 days yet.

MSU is going to go into "take no prisoners" mode to make sure WSU doesn't hang around and have a chance to win - after that's happened twice in Orlando already.

MSU likes transition buckets and beating the D down the court. Those are problems for WSU. WSU's players either aren't as fast as I thought or they are reacting too slowly to transitions after TO's or misses.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

What was the score last time WSU played MSU?

How did that season end up?

              Grimacing Green Men 82

              Grimacing Grain 68

I truly believe with this team anything is possible. Thankfully if we keep it close this will be some more quality/positive national exposure. I don't want to think about the flip side.

              Go Shocks!!!!

MSU didn't make the NCAA in the 2005-06 season, iirc.

I thought George Mason beat them in the 1st or 2nd round during the final four run.

Pretty sure they did, and then North Carolina in the 2nd round, us in the 3rd round, UConn in the 4th round

Also the year we lost to MSU by 15 or so (our sweet 16 year) was the same year that we lost to Illinois by 1-2 in the Padre tourney and had Karon Bradley shot his 3/4 court shot 1/2 second earlier we would have won.

Maybe the formula for our success at Wichita St is to narrowly lose to a very good BCS team (Georgetown) and then get pasted by Michigan St by at least 15. SWEET SIXTEEN HERE WE COME LOL. Just kidding of course!

I like the fact that Mich St. is a mainly a guard team. This helps us out a ton. I don't know who will guard Raymar Morgan. He is kind of a mismatch for so Ellis might have to step up and guard him. I think Clevin Hannah keeps pushing on with what he has been doing this tourney and i think A.J. Hawkin needs and does step up with some big plays. We are going to have to do a ton of things right to stay in this game.

I don't know how we keep it this close but we do.

IPFW led during the 2nd half against MSU and only lost by 11 in the end. So there's that...

                              MSU 65
                              WSU 57

I would SO settle for a single digit deficit, particularly if we are on top (and no I'm not smoking crack -- too old for that to be cool). Granted, this is wishful thinking, but oh how fun it is to dream.
