Shockers v. Rattlers- Season Opener

The Flordia A&M Rattlers will be coming to town on Sunday afternoon for the Shockers Season Opener. The Rattlers play Kansas State on Friday night before heading down to Wichita. They won their only exhibition game 79-71 on Monday night against NAIA school Warner Southern College. They had a freshman guard, Dale Hughes, who scored 30 points and shot 7-13 from three-point range. They did get out-rebounded 39-32 so I'm guessing they won't have much inside. Sunday at 2:05 can't get here soon enough, I'm ready for some basketball that counts!!!!!

I don't think there will be many decisive victories this year. 7-10 points might be considered a large margin. Hope they surprise me, though.

I hope that they challenge our guys by playing the game of their life...and we still win. Our guys will mature and get better by playing good competition. I'm sure we'll see alot of that in Orlando but we don't need a pushover until after that (to build our confidence).

The Shockers will get a boost from Ellis and will look more comfortable out there. I am looking for a better performance from Murry, who I think is the best of the freshmen. I also think our defense will look better.
