My favorite characteristic is the pointy ears. I wouldn't want to play them around Pon Farr.
I had season FOOTBALL tix... did you?

What performances? I wouldn't read too much into exh. games.
I try not to, but when you see teams like SIU struggle in a regular season game against a supposebly inferior opponent ( and look at some of the other teams who have stuggled against inferior exhbition opponents) it still makes you wonder if the MVC going to be any better this year.
A lot of the Valley teams do a lot of experimenting during these games to see who works well together and who can do what with who and under what circumstances. I believe CU didn't play a single player more than 20 minutes. SIU has a lot of young guys that I'm sure they were working with and seeing what they might be able to do and to give them more opportunities to play in front of a crowd.

Once the games count, I'll start to worry about results and how they played.

It is rumored that it MAY be on ESPNU tonight. Nothing solid on that though.

Just for the record, the thrashing they did of Cal-Penn last night counted.

UMASS is up 39-28 at the half.

I'm vastly unimpressed with their world-renown recruiting class, and really their entire team thus far.

2nd in the Valley? We'll see..

I'm not for sure how he's doing but I always thought the only freshman who would be significant for them this year is Kevin Dillard. Their whole team is struggling to hit shots. But to the credit of SIU fans only half of them are having a mini melt down.

I figured UMass might roll over them. I'm not going to give them too hard a time though...we have Georgetown soon.

I say that and it looks like SIU started the 2nd half good. Only down 2 now with 8:03 left.

Dillard is doing well in the point total with 12 so far, but he is only 4-13 from the field.

Wow, SIU has outscored UMass by 12 in the 2nd half to take the lead.

60-59 5:51 left...they may just pull it out.
