LOL I dunno. But next up is SIU vs UMass tomorrow night. I say they get spanked. I'm not sure how good UMass is, but I'm not sure their newcomers are up for a game like that yet. Maybe Dillard or Booker are, but I don't think anyone else is. Hopefully, for the Valley, they can pick up the win.

you should be rooting for them for now - it helps the conference w/l and potentially the RPI...when conference season starts, the gloves are off!

looking at some of these MVC results to this point, I have not really been impressed with the 8 teams performance that are pick ahead of WSU so far. The league is looking more open every day that goes by.

Who's UMass' coach now? Are they expected to continue to improve, or fall back after losing Ford to Okie State?

PS: I think Ford's a heckuva coach, and Okie State ended up in a good situation.

I try not to, but when you see teams like SIU struggle in a regular season game against a supposebly inferior opponent ( and look at some of the other teams who have stuggled against inferior exhbition opponents) it still makes you wonder if the MVC going to be any better this year.

Derek Kellogg is their new coach. He played at UMass under John Calipari and has been an assistant at Memphis for the past eight years. He is a great recruiter and I think UMass will be good for a long time if Kellogg stays there. Should be a good game in Carbondale tonight. I think UMass takes a close one by about five points.
