or maybe hes just stating the facts. we all admit he loved us when we made the sweet 16 and were ranked in the top 10, why cant he report that we arent good now? its his job.

Words mean things. Similarly, so does the phrasing.

He could have said "the one team in the field without the expectation of playing in the postseason".

That is being factual. Katz went beyond factual and slapped Shocker basketball in the face.

But honestly, we should expect this type of "reporting" for the reasons others have already mentioned.

Well, unless he's a profit he can't really say "the only team in this field that WON'T get a sniff of postseason". Like Royal said, it's all about phrasing. He could have said "not expected to" or he could have just left that little tid bit out of the article all together. I don't think it is important news LOL.

Now let me say I'm not upset by it, cause really I don't care and if we play well no one else will either. Plus I'm not expecting postseason this year or anything huge. But his phrasing in a couple articles did almost feel that he was going out of his way to take shots. Oh well.....
