Thanks MVC. You save me some time. It is late and I am ready for bed. Ten o'clock is late for seniors. For you young whippersnappers, I realize the evening is just getting started.
My comments are as follows:
1. Kyles wore red shorts.
2. Murry wore silver/gray shorts.
3. Neither set the world on fire this day.
4. With respect to E.O., the best thing that could happen is a redshirt. Very raw. Extra very raw.
5. E.O. has a very nice frame. He will be an average to above average free throw shooter. His wingspan is 7-3. He has very long arms and very large hands. He smiles a lot. He seems comfortable and has a good attitude. If he plays this year, don't count on him for much offense.
6. The star of the pick-up games is the guy in the maroon shorts. He is a guard. Nobody, including WSU folks, knew his name. This guy can play.
7. I like Hannah and Chamberlain too. Our point guard problem is solved. Reggie is a fine shooter. At least he was this day.
8. Two of the reasons Stutz did not look so great are fellows called Paul and EO. Stutz had a nice baseline drive that I liked a lot. He was stuffed by EO at the basket. The stuffing came with a mauling foul. Stutz has a temper. Most of the EO blocks of his shots came with body contact. On one occasion, Garrettt slammed the ball down and it must have bounced 25' in the air. It sorta reminded me of the time CC McFall kicked the ball up to row 33.
9. Paul Miller was a man among boys. It is amazing how much his game has improved in 2.5 years. Also, he is Mr. Buff. He looks great.
10. The games were so ragged, it was difficult for me to appreciate individual play. The exception was Maroon Shorts.
11. The Shockers will be very athletic next season. Very athletic.
12. Kyles will be able to shake any college defender. Well, most any defender. He has some very quick jukes and he gets the ball away fast. He has a jab left, back right move that is pretty effective.
13. Coaches Marshall and Gross came over and visited with us. Coach Gross talked for quite awhile. Also Matt Braueur talked to us for a very long time. I could not help, but compare this coaching staff to the previous one, relative to being open, friendly and informative. It is like night and day. Change that to "it is like the darkest night and the brightest, sun shiny day."
I was reminded of the time, I extended my hand to introduce myself to Coach Prioleau at the Heskett Center. He looked at me, grunted some foreign sound and barely touched my hand, before turning away. It was a case of gross rudeness. Some might say he was an @$$h@le.
14. Coach Marshall estimates that Stutz will play at 280 some day. Yes, he said 280. I am not sure about his current weight, but it seems like someone said he weighs 250. Just in case someone is living in the past, 280 is approaching Green Bay Packer down lineman territory.
15. My companions were Cowboy, Deerslayer and Cold. You remember Cold, don't you? He holds the American record for message board banishments. (Just kidding, Cold.)
16. It appears that Stutz is 1-2 inches taller than EO. We saw them walking side by side.
There might be some reader, who actually thinks I might know what I am talking about. If so, remember this. I am the one, who predicted that Tim Duncan would never make it in the NBA.
