Bruce and Bob had the Sunrise coach on today and he said they would have from 5 to 7 D 1 players this year and they would be playing in the National Prep Championships, Tennessee, Texas and California. Too bad we cant see them play. Their gym holds about 500 people.

One of the new players Coach Kyle was talking about was Andreas Bigum from Denmark. He is a 6-9 forward and is a shooter who will have to adapt to the American game and gain strength. He was a member of the 2011 Danish National U18 team. He will be a senior this year at Sunrise.

He's liking Penn State, I don't know if they've offered.

Wonder if we will ever see a player from that school.

A year and a half ago, playing AAU with the Miami Tropics 15U team, Sands was described as a 6-6 forward who was still learning the offensive basics of basketball. He showed excellent potential, being active on the glass, running the court well and having a decent touch around the rim.

I'm willing to admit now that I was wrong. Sunrise does not look to be the funnel it was expected to be.

I remain hopeful that foreign players from Sunrise connect with the WSU program and choose to stay.

With so many international players, they have probably never experienced an environment like that personally.

With the stats of their former players and D-l basketball I wonder if we really want to take a chance on them

Easy money for most Shockernetters, Bob Lutz offers $10 if you know who Buddy Hield is or where he plays. The article is also a fair review of Sunrise players.
