I was one of the biggest and most vocal opponents of that particular stunt -- even to the point of having PM conversations with Mr. Rip. Never liked it, voiced my opinion on Shockernet, got blasted for it by more than one, still voiced my opinion, will never like it. I certainly hope there is not some idea in Rip's mind to start wearing the Nigerian flag.

The circumstances are different. One shows disrespect for your alma mater, the other, well -- I'm not gonig to rehash old arguments. Suffice it to say, they are different (but as far as I am concerned, both are still in poor taste).

Am I to understand that from ALL my comments on this thread and those that appeared in the past as to Rip Van Winkle wearing the Israli flag, there could possibly have been ANY doubt that I thought both instances were in bad taste. If there was any doubt, then I certainly need to start making my points more succinctly. I have been very vocal on both subjects.
