If he, in fact, did. Just by reading his posts, I get the feeling Rip may be more hot air than action.
      Another good point.

IIRC he has pursued a coaching career; if so, this appears to be poor judgment from a professional standpoint (IMO). Obviously, word gets around on stuff like this and can be frowned upon by those making hiring decisions. I only see downside with such decisions. Some times it’s better just to remain neutral (or in the closet) as some might say. If he aspires to make it into D1 coaching then he’s got to know better.

Not really, I mean a former KU guy Roy, still wears his Jayhawk stuff when the time suits him. And we know the NC fans aren't happy about that either.

            FIRST OF ALL...

Roy wore a sticker at KU GAME.
Ryan wore full KU garb head to toe at a SHOCKER GAME.

            SECOND OF ALL...

IF i saw ryan on the street wearing ku gear, i wouldnt have said anything...
but wearing it to a game is rediculous.

This convo is going in circles and now im some villan for mentioning it to him.
I dont feel bad at all.
And to tell you the truth sweet 16 great, but turgeon got us that far and left us in worse shape, so im on marshalls boat not living in the past.

AND sure its a lil non respectable to tell him that fever, but i dont respect him for wearing it.
It was more than a hat, it was full bright blue garb....
"Coach Marshall,We will be at Creighton at least 15 hours in advance!"
CGM--->"Hell yea, and we'll beat their ass."

I know it's not a game or anything, but should every student that has a KU or K-State or any other college team license plate on their car or a hoodie or t-shirt be told they should be ashamed because they aren't respecting their college? Because if that were the case you'd have to tell probably half the student population.

no doubt, grow up and let the man wear what he wants to wear. I know I could care less what somebody wears to a game. Heck, they can wear Creighton stuff if they want. Just because somebody wears non-WSU clothing to a game doesn't mean he isn't all for WSU anymore. Some of you really make me ashamed to be a WSU fan sometimes, I mean honestly.

                  Two quick things:

Why is everyone here harping on the fact that he was wearing KU gear and not on the fact that he was out supporting the Shockers?

There is a difference between disliking a team and a rivalry. KU and UNC don't have a rivalry, KU fans just dislike UNC. WSU and KU don't have a rivalry, WSU fans just dislike KU.

 Snap, you better check the record book.

I seem to recall a nice dunk by RM followed by... "the Shockers are going to the Sweet Sixteen!"
                    :good:
Ahh precious memories. I can recall the wife and I making flight and hotel reservations from downtown Greensboro on the blackberry. His dunk was fitting the occasion.

I am ready to pay even more obscene ticket prices to make another post-season jaunt :good:

I actually saw someone numerous times at basketball games in the stands wearing a Creighton hoodie, he was sitting in section 108 or 109 in the lower bowl, the only thing that made up for it is the girl he was always with is extremely hot

Well you just go right ahead and be ashamed of being a WSU fan if you want. This was no ordinary run-of-the-mill guy that appeared at a WSU athletic function wearing the emblem of another school (and as an added bonus that school is not liked by many of the WSU fans). This is an athlete that played for WSU, represented WSU, and got his degree from WSU. No one is saying he can't be a KU fan. I'm a KU fan, but you will never catch me wearing KU stuff here, or a WSU shirt at a KU game (unless we are playing KU). He should have worn street clothes if he was not going to be in black and gold.

I certainly would never approach anyone about it, but I have always found it baffling why people wear the sports of apparel of team that are not playing when they go to a sporting event.

Nothing specific about Ryan, but my general suggestion is that you should either wear sporting gear and make sure it matches the teams playing, or wear non-sporting gear. I have plenty of Texas merchandise since my family went to UT, but I never have and never will wear it when going to a WSU sporting event (even if Texas was playing WSU, obviously). I have even changed out of stuff before going to a game on this basis.

Maybe all his other clothes were dirty and he didn't have anything else to wear.

Only in America would out of touch people like us (myself included) feel obligated to comment about the apparel selection of a 22 or 23 year old and the validity of the position of those less agreeable
