  • did anyone see ryan martin at the baseball game?

Because I did and he was wearing a ku jacket and ku pants, it was absolutely rediculous.
I told him he should be ashamed.

I understand he was a transfer and all, and is welcome to be a ku fan, but to wear ku attire to a shocker event, is nearly shameful if u ask me.

Maybe he was on the losing end of a bet. I didn't see him but I'd hope it was something along those lines.

      i saw him.

i almost asked him what was up... but i just let him be.

i think he may have played summer ball last year with a few of them (from KU). and he is from KC, so he probably grew up a fan...

but still, i was a little flustered that he was COMPLETLY decked out in KU gear and NO WSU gear...

I thought it was him, then I saw all the KU stuff and I thought it couldn't be him...

I thought what ex WSU player would wear all KU stuff, let alone to a WSU game!?

Well, I know he was at the baseball game, but I didn't see him. Off topic, but a good bit of information. I am a teacher at a school in the Wichita area. On Thursday, we had a staff vs student basketball game. Ryan came to our school and was the guest coach for the students. He did an excellent job and received a wonderful ovation when he came in. Ryan was a great player and an even better person. He interacted well with the kids and looked like he really enjoyed himself. Just thought this might be a good time to remind you what a great person he was, instead of what kind of clothes he was wearing.

nobody said he wasn't a good dude, just that it's weird seeing him sport KU garb at a wsu event when he played at WSU.

That's great to read, and really all that matters. Weird (to see him wear those clothes) but it's great to hear he helped you all out.

I really dislike KU, but I don't care at all if RM is a fan. Like someone said, maybe he grew up rooting for them. And it's not like there is an active rivalry between the schools in his sport.

RM was always one of my favorite players for his lunch pail work ethic. I hope he has a lot of success coaching.

We need to make sure we support and welcome all former players (not that the comments about RM's clothes were that negative, but I really don't think they were necessary at all).

who really cares what kind of clothes he wears, that's really none of our business. that's like me hating my friend Nick because he likes Duke, and I despise Duke. It's stupid. He put in a couple good years here, and if he wants to wear KU clothes, then so be it, it's his decision.
