I wasn't there, but from what I've heard, the dance team was talented.

Mum, you will like Asia Henderson; she looks like a playa' to me. I'll let someone else give additional details.

P.S. Lockhart and Bessard were solid.

This event should make the athletic department ashamed. We left at 8:30 while the women were stretching still. The DJ guy was not good. The breaks between things were even worse.

Why do this event at all of they can't even half-ass it??

It was good to see the players competing in the 3 point and dunk contests, but why did it take over an hour to do 10 minutes worth of contest?

My kids enjoyed it for a while, but there was no way to keep their attention. And their ages were from 15 to 7, so it's not like they were little ones.

I wish I could have seen the scrimmages, but the event just dragging on forced us to have to leave.
You weren't alone. The crowd had dwindled significantly by the time the Men's scrimmage started. Had the men gone 1st the women would have played in an empty arena.

I manageed to stay through the first 8 minute session of the men's scrimmage but my 10-year old grandson was pretty much in let's get out of here mode midway throught that 1st session. Plus it was on a school night and he really did need to be home in bed.

It really did draaaaaaaaaaag on. I guess you know it wasn't the best of productions when the highlights were the tumbling runs by the female cheerleaders before the teams were introduced and the Shocker dance team routine. And even that dance routine was a bit muddled. I thought the girls were going to cramp up in their starting poses waiting for someone to start the music.

With what was on the agenda last night we should have been done by 8:30. Someone needs to take charge and organize and manaage angry.

Not too impressive IMHO. Rangie and Diamond were terrible in the 3-point shooting contest but were the best players on the floor during the scrimmage. Tamara and Jaliah did pretty well in the 3-point shooting contest. The Lady Shocks have a long ways to go. The game at UConn will likely be very embarrassing and there may be others as well.

On the other had it can be a bit dangerous to make too many firm judgements from a Shocker Madness event.

Won't speak about individuals, but as a whole. IMO, the hustle was good and there were bright spots in their play. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how much one can expect when just less than half were newcomers and the rest, mostly seniors, were learning a new system. Much of this will happen again next year when you'll have another large number of newcomers and most the rest have only 1 year of D-I experience and 1 year exposure to the new system.

Yeah, I thought their movement on offense was decent. Doesn't look like we will be reall good shooting team but the sample size is really small and it's very early.

But as you point out it's going to be a process.
