Will the season tickets be ready to be handed out at Shocker Madness? I haven't seen anything about it.

Season tickets will be available tonight at Shocker Madness. Otherwise you have until tomorrow (Oct. 19th) at 5pm to pick them up at the office before they mail them out.

He said that if he wants to dunk by jumping over Nurger, he should do it on an early try instead of on his third attempt like he tried last year. Sounded like his legs were a little fresher before his third attempt.

For the first time in several years, I'm looking forward to Shocker Madness. New lights, new logos, new banners and few new players have
me curious. I'm not a big fan of women's basketball, however I'm looking forward to watching the ladies also. My preference would be to introduce the players, show a 'pump up' video, present the championship rings, followed by scrimmages. More basketball and less 'pomp and circumstance' would suit me the best.

I know I'm sounding like an 'old fart', but I'm thankful we don't have celebrity appearances, corny and embarrassing skits, musical guests and coaches riding in on Harley's. That's what they do northeast of us and I'm happy we don't try to emulate it. I'm not knocking them, it seems to work well when they have all the current and up and coming burger boys in the house with 'free' Adidas gear for all. :)

So. Pretty poor event so far. Inexplicable breaks between events that you could drive a truck through. No pacing or sense that there was a plan. Douchy, ill prepared DJ cold reading a script and asking bs questions of players. No replays on dunks. Thank god for CJ hammers and the great crowd, otherwise it would be completely embarrassing.

What a joke! An hour and a half for a dunk contest and 3 point contest. Our 3 Little kids are tired and ready to go so I walked my wife to her car to take them home and when I try and get back in, nope sorry sir, exit only after 8!!?? What? I get the no reentry, but a non ticketed event I can

I'm not there tonight, school conferences, but I will have to say that Shocker Madness is one thing that this school/staff have never figured out. Seriously I'm guessing there are high schools that would put on a better organized event than this. Its almost like they do it bad intentionally. I get that you don't have to do all the skits and things they do at KU but at least have an organized event that feels a little like you didn't plan it 20 minutes before everyone arrived. I was honestly hoping I would regret not making it but it appears that is not the case.

Many of us are just old. My daughter just returned from the event. Had a great time. No complaints. I'm afraid these things just aren't designed to appeal to the over 40 crowd (way over 40 in my case).
