Bring a lid or wine stopper with you

Think they would notice if I had a bottle of wine with the wine stopper? :)

Good call on bringing my own lid, kind of a "duh". Should I put it on right there in front of them at the concession stand?

I wouldn't. When you flaunt rules it just draws unwanted scrutiny

What's with not allowing lids? Do they have a problem with people throwing them or something? I mainly choose to buy pop bottles instead of fountain drinks because of the risk of the drink getting kicked over while on the ground.

And apparently the band rule doesn't apply to Volleyball games (Temple).

I feel like I'm going to have to take my tape measure to some of these games. Some of these arenas aren't big enough to get the band as far away from the visitors bench as the new location in Koch. I guess they have to stand outside?

I assume that is the reason. I always bought a bottled drink as well for that same reason. This past Sunday at the Volleyball match I bought my grandson a medium drink but bougtht a fountain drink so it would have a lid. I was sitting where there are cup holders but the medium cups are top heavy and not stable in those holders so he set it under his chair. Before the match was over the drink got knocked over anyway and the lid popped off. Job security for the janitorial staff I guess. I'm probably done with buying drinks at the game. They are way overpriced anyway. I guess I could bring a lid.

Yes. A full bottle with a lid on it will hurt more than a bottle without a lid.

Maybe. Until somebody slips on one of the 300 spills every game and sues. Then it will hurt more without the lid.

The spills, if reported, utilize the numerous employees of the janitorial staff. Of course, that interrupts the enjoyment of many fans surrounding the clean-up effort.

I’m thankful fans stuff their jackets under their seats during games; they make a great ‘dam’ for all the spills and work like ‘Bounty’, "the quicker picker-upper".

I will sit in a puddle of Dr. Pepper for years if it means I get to watch us play Cincinnati instead of Drake.
