I still think it should be a campus series, but I agree that if the Wichita game is at Intrust, then the K-State controlled game better not be in Manhattan.78-65

That game shouldn't be at Intrust anyway. We only play marquee games there.
I'm not even just being snarky. K-State has been a smoldering pile of nothing since their one year with Michael "Puff Puff Give" Beasley. They've just given a contract extension to the man who destroyed Illinois' basketball program and had his greatest success purposely scoring as few points as possible in Carbondale.
I shouldn't have to pay extra for that game. Remember, they were complicit in the whole "attendance center" recommendation back in the day. They should have to come into Koch Arena with about a half-dozen fans jammed into the top of section 230 and they should thank us for the privilege of getting on TV.
If they really want to stay relevant, they'd better have an entire department dedicated to figuring out how to keep Bill Snyder alive and coaching, because they're one phone call from God away from 1986 all over again.

The arrogance just floors me. I grew up in Clay Center. Don't blow smoke up my kilt about how great a school K-State is. Most of my high school classmates went there, and that should tell you all you need to know. And as for it's basketball 'history', you can sum it up with Ro Blackman, Ski Jones, Michael Beasley, and they all pale in comparison in accomplishments to Nichole Ohlde.

Still, I purposely didn't count Henson. The point still stands.

I respect that marty, but I think we're at the place where that Intrust game needs to be against a team with an average RPI lower than the 50's. The Oklahoma schools, they stepped up, so I got no problems with those at IBA, but going forward, that needs to be an ESPN primetime-ready game.
Also, I'm a hard-hearted, grudge-holding sonova***** with an axe to grind against the other two D1 schools in the state. That ALWAYS has to be taken into account.

Interesting note: I was at IBA over the lunch hour to buy tickets for something else and noticed that the upper level will be closed for the K-State/Tulsa game. That doesn't surprise me...but I still think it's pretty funny nonetheless.78-65

I can't decide whether it would be better for WSU fans to flock to IBA and cheer for conference buddy Tulsa, or to avoid the game entirely so as to make sure it's the greatest financial disaster possible for KSU.
As for us playing KSU there: no. IBA is for games against substantial noncon matchups. KSU can come to Koch like Savannah State and UMKC."It's amazing to watch Ron slide into that open area, Fred will find him and it's straight cash homie."--HCGM
