This is starting to feel like the 2006 MVC. Fun times!
Now assured that the AAC will have 7 in the top 80... at least, according to this poll.

We had something like 4 last year.
I think you mean 14. I don't think we get to play ourselves.

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Plus, the way the AAC schedules, we only have one game against Memphis. We will have 4 conference games against teams ranked (by this ranking) 119 or lower. We would have had 16 MVC games against teams ranked 120 or worse.

I don't sign in and post but I searched what KSU people are saying, and someone said that Tulsa was an easy game that the Shox could win on an off night (the American had several teams where this could happen). It's funny that this poll has KSU only 8 spots higher than Tulsa. Talk about people who feel they are entitled. A good number say how weak the American is.

Well after all they are a football school...at least until Bill retires.

I believe this is Bill's last year. Maybe they will make a better hire this time than the guy they got last time. If they make a football hire of the same quality as their most recent basketball hire, they will become a "nothing" school. Then when the B12(-2) implodes in (or before) 2024, they can join the MWC so they don't dilute the football or basketball pool in the AAC.

Bill Snyder is a class act. I wish no ill will to the K-State athletic program, be it whatever sport. Hey, we're all Kansas. Heard this quote on 810 radio in KC this morning attributed to Bill Snyder. "There's a solution for every scheme. But there is no easy way to defeat a humble mentality, grounded in self discipline." That philosophy has coach Marshall written all over it.

I think what I said is exactly what you feel about Bill Snyder. He like our own Gregg Marshall both are lightening in a bottle for both schools.
