With Marvin Bagley III now in the fold, Duke has jumped up to become the favorite to win the national title in 2017-18, according to the Westgate Superbook.

"...If you’re looking to place a wager on a team to win the title, the bets I really like are USC and Wichita State at 30/1 odds and Miami at 60/1. Those are three top ten teams with the horses to make a deep run in March.

Anyway, here is the full list of odds from the Westgate.

    TEAM, OPEN, CURRENT
    1. Duke, 12/1, 3/1
    2. Kentucky, 10/1, 8/1
    3. Michigan State, 20/1, 10/1
    4. Kansas, 12/1, 12/1
    5. Arizona, 20/1, 12/1
    6. Louisville, 12/1, 15/1
    7. UCLA, 40/1, 25/1
    8. USC, 60/1, 30/1
    8. Wichita State, 20/1, 30/1
    8. Texas, 300/1, 30/1
    8. North Carolina, 12/1, 30/1
    8. Villanova, 12/1, 30/1
    8. Florida, 20/1, 30/1..."

Uhh yeah... and when you gross it up for how big the fan bases are for the other 12 teams... we are DFL.

That means the sharp money loves us and the books are spooked... which is additional confirmation that sharp money loves 3G and that we are feared in Vegas as well as on the hardwood.

What world am I living in. If you showed me my posts as I was saying every bad word in the book 12 years ago after the Vanderbilt NIT loss (or even after the NIT win in MSG), I would have told you it was impossible.

"College basketball chaos raises future questions" - Vegas Stats & Information Network

          Matt Youmans, VSiN senior editor
          September 27, 2017 08:38 PM

"It probably will prove to be bigger than any point-shaving scandal to hit college basketball. It’s an FBI case involving corruption and fraud in recruiting, and Rick Pitino is the first big name to take a fall.

Pitino has been placed on unpaid administrative leave, which essentially means he is expected to be fired as Louisville coach. This is not Pitino’s first scandal. He danced with the devil and sidestepped the consequences a couple of times.

This is also just the beginning. The news that broke Tuesday and Wednesday was a tsunami warning. For starters, Pitino is the face of a case that could have far-reaching implications and threatens numerous elite coaches, players and programs...

...The top six teams in the Blue Ribbon Preseason Top 25, released last week, are Arizona, Michigan State, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky and Louisville. But the Cardinals will fall fast, and others may follow. There could be value in betting Wichita State, the seventh-ranked team and rising, at 30-1 odds. Also consider Florida (30-1), West Virginia (60-1), Cincinnati (100-1) and Purdue (100-1).

At the South Point, Vaccaro said, there are 53 futures tickets on Arizona, the most popular team on the board, and only one on Louisville. The ticket on the Cardinals might as well be used as toilet paper...."

Tom Crean, former Indiana head coach, +200

Kenny Payne, former Louisville player and current Kentucky association head coach, +500

John Thompson III, former Georgetown head coach, +600

Thad Matta, former Ohio State head coach, +750

I just placed $100 on the Shockers at 28:1.
One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. We wish the Shockers well against Cincinnati, UConn, SMU, and more.

I knew not where else to put this... very typical KU fan at work that can only talk about the Big 12 record.

They need to let VEGAS set the NCAA bracket, they would do a much better job.

Basically all prop bets (or 19 out of 20 at least) are terrible value.

Got WSU at 20-1 early in DEC.... feel like that's even a little generous.
