I'd prefer to take a higher road than Creighton did and play one or two of the teams, but only the top team any given year. That's hard to predict but I would agree with others than Indiana State is a logical choice based on the relationship 3G has with Lansing even though Indiana State might never get back up to a high RPI. Illinois State and UNI come to mind for me as well but again, I don't think there's any need to go out of our way scheduling MVC schools.

In recent years, WSU has had to focus on OOC to improve their schedule, and even then I felt it was too weak. I hated last years list of cupcakes. That being said, we did get a tourney (which we have been recently punished for banking on), and 2 Big12 Oklahoma schools. So now that we have completely improved our conference schedule, I originally felt that we should continue to schedule a tougher OOC. But an interesting thought would be to schedule a few MVC foes to show respect and honor our foes from the MVC. I would be happy with anyone in the MVC - that includes the bottom feeders. Don't know if the math would be too bad for it though.
I think ShockerNet has gotten ahead of themselves in the way they've talked about the MVC post-flight. Yeah, CU left and didn't say goodbye, and now some of SN propose we do the same. Instead of focusing on CU's choices, I would suggest focusing on Tulsa's. They have bounced around like a hot potato and still honored our rivalry with games.

No desired number. Personally, I would avoid ISUr as long as Muller is there cuz he's a giant delta bravo, and I would avoid Cedar Flops cause I don't think that sort of play should ever be rewarded. Everybody else should go in the OOC-scheduling hopper, same as the rest of the country. If it works well for both teams, do it.

I think we should look to what is best for our team. Games with MVC teams would be fine as others have pointed out but I don't believe we should think of ourselves like the bj's as all high and mighty . Good teams should be played, bad teams avoided.

My preference would be to see MSU solidify themselves in the top-3 of the Valley and schedule them in a 2-for-1. Past coaches have recruited pretty well, but failed to fully capitalize. If Lusk doesn't figure it out the next guy just might. It's another road game within driving distance and I'd hate to see all those "Wichita Is Not a State" shirts end up in a landfill.

I already know I am WAAAAYYYY out on an island here, but what I want is an MVC-AAC challenge that replaces the MWC challenge.
What's the worst that can happen? They stay horrible and maybe hurt the AAC conference RPI a tiny bit? But think of the bright side here...we get the opportunity to see the MVC get owned year after year by everyone in our new conference.

We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
