"President John Bardo said the decision to move Wichita State from the Missouri Valley Conference to the American Athletic Conference had nothing to do with basketball.

“I don’t care about basketball,” Bardo said. “That’s not why we did it. Think about the other schools in the athletic conference.

marshall called out bradley because of the way they tried to FIGHT back when they were getting smoked on the court in the mvc tournament. you know, they tried to seriously injure shocker players.

Here's the main difference in Marshall saying a quote like he did and a power 5 coach saying it: IF Bradley ever gets better, MUCH better, than Marshall would look at scheduling it. We don't see the Valley as "beneath us" like Power 5 schools do. But we aren't signing up for more RPI killing games just because Wardle's feelings were hurt. Prove it on the court FIRST Wardle and then you can say something like this and Marshall WOULD listen. WSU wants to play good basketball teams regardless the conference (hence Charleston on the schedule this year). Until then get off twitter and get in the gym with your players and make a better basketball team. Whining like Wardle is why I grew to dispise the other teams in the Valley the last couple of years. It's also how Henson won a COY. It's a great day to be a Shocker and an "American" Shocker.

I agreed. Lost some like for Wardle in the Valley tourney last season. Bradley has been the key to the MVC being a 2-bid league since Creighton left. They have been abysmal that entire time.
