While Palm's bracketology is an abomination, in this case it is an abomination I would take 7 times a week and twice on Sundays. Don't tell you wouldn't love a bracket where the top 4 seeds consist of us, Miami, TCU, and Tennessee. Especially when alternatives look like Villanova, Duke, West Virginia.

That said, Palm should probably stop being allowed to write about college basketball. He's literally giving teams lower seeds than their current Kenpom and AP poll rank while putting teams that have played 1 real game (and that was just @Minnesota) as 1 seeds.

Due to poor seeding by the NCAA committee, regrettably we've proven Palm right. Until we can make another deep run in the NCAA's, he'll continue to sell us short.

No. On average, every time you are a 9 seed or lower you are expected to lose before the Round of 32. On average as a 5 seed or lower you are expected to lose before the Sweet 16. As a 10 seed, we surpassed expectations. As an 11 seed, we surpassed expectations. As a 7 seed, we surpassed expectations. As a 9 seed, we surpassed expectations.

Each and every time we've gotten a screw-job by the NCAA we've surpassed expectations. We don't need to make a Final Four run to prove that the NCAA putting a 3-seed quality team as a play-in was wrong.

Proven him right how? Because we lost by 8 to a Top 25 team at home? What's Duke's worst loss? Is Boston College better than OU?

We don't have to prove **** to Palm. He's a hack bracketologist regardless of the situation.

Unfortunately, it seems that with the number of times Palm repeated his "top 100 wins is all that matters" mantra last year, the more people started seeming to agree with it. There's every reason to believe the Selection Committee was swayed by that train of thought, even though it was mostly spouted by Palm. Over and over and over and over.

He's got an audience that seems to follow and believe him.

Every time I see this post, at first glance the "c" and the "l" seem to run together and form a "d".

"The 343 teams that will not win the national championship" - ESPN

                        http://www.espn.com/mens-college-bas...l-championship

"Welcome to the third annual installment of "343 teams that won't win the title." This venerable feature is now two-for-two, having successfully excluded Villanova from its list in 2016, while also shunning North Carolina in the 343 model's second go-round last year.

The smart thing to do would therefore be to quit now before a dark-horse national champion like Connecticut in 2014 wanders into view. (It's only a matter of time.) Alas, the streak beckons to be extended, and prudence has been cast aside. Here we are.

These are my selections for the 343 teams that will not win the 2018 national title, broken up into three sections....

                        3. Cincinnati Bearcats
This one was tough. Putting a team that excels at both offense and (especially) defense on the near-miss list is difficult at best and foolhardy at worst. Nor would this seem to be a propitious historical moment to fret that the Bearcat offense perhaps relies too much on sheer offensive-rebounding might alone. (Getting second chances seemed to work pretty well for North Carolina last year.) In the end, however, Cincy's late-season hiccups on defense against Houston, Wichita State (the home game) and Tulsa felt too ominous for magic-eight comfort.

                        7. Houston Cougars
There's a lot to like about a team that makes its shots (particularly from the perimeter), values the ball and takes care of business on the boards on both ends of the floor. Armoni Brooks, Corey Davis, Rob Gray and Kelvin Sampson have delivered the best season this program has had since, yes, the Guy Lewis glory days. Still, the Cougars' strangely high foul rate in American play and the thoroughly average number of opponent turnovers that resulted do give one pause.

                        19. Wichita State Shockers
If you desire entertainment, this is the team for you. Observers will continue to speak of the Shockers in the same program-level-stereotype terms that were used appropriately in the Fred VanVleet days, but the truth is this defense performed at a level that was right at the American average in conference play. The good news entertainment-wise is that this offense is spectacular. All of the above should make for fun viewing in the tournament, but it might not make for a high number of viewing opportunities....

Here are his picks who will win: Congratulations are therefore in order for Arizona, Duke, Gonzaga, Michigan State, North Carolina, Purdue, Villanova and Virginia...."

If some of those teams listed actually win, they probably better not spend a lot on a banner. It'll just be removed later.

I would have to agree that KU fans are obnoxious. However — the only decent team within a day’s drive of Lawrence is Creighton???

"Jeff "The Body" Zanotti is a contributing writer to Thrillist who once scored 49 points in a high school basketball game, is a former college intramural champion, and is a future over 35 men’s league legend" This explains the Creighton reference, the only thing he hasnt done is score four touchdowns in a singlegame at Polk High

It’s really not that hard to list the teams that won’t win the National Championship considering it’s been since 1997, Arizona, that a school has won their first one. Since then it’s all been repeat winners. He only went on a limb by including Purdue, Gonzaga and Virginia because history says they most likely won’t.
If you're not going to go all the way, why go?
