After years of lurking in the shadows of Shockernet, I am posting for the very first time to say how much I appreciate Eric Hamilton as a person. My middle school aged son has attended Shocker Camp (in June) over the past several years, and, while all Shocker players have been great with kids, Eric has stood out as especially gifted at helping kids develop their skills and treating each one like they were the most promising talent in the camp. My son thinks of Eric as his good personal friend because of the attention Eric gave him each day. This has made a world of difference for my son's self-confidence and, along with the encouragement of other Shocker players, has helped him have big dreams for his future. So, my appreciation and thanks to Eric for being a thoughtful and generous person (albeit still a bit dangerous in team practices). May God bless Eric greatly wherever he decides to go, and I hope he enjoys much success as a standout player.

It is too bad that it didn't work out for EH. I remember getting to know him during his year at Sunrise and how much he was looking forward to being a Shocker. We all wish every recruit can turn out like Fred, Ron, Tekele, Landy, etc., but unfortunately that's not how life is.

Outstanding. Thank you for the personal story of EH with your son. I think this is another of many examples of the quality of person that HCGM is recruiting. I am sad that it didn't work out as everyone had hoped for Eric at WSU, but we know that not every fit is perfect or goal is reached in life. Eric will always have a special place in our hearts. I wish him the very best in his basketball, and more importantly, his personal life.

I am sorry to see Eric leave the program. I was looking forward to his finding his spot in the rotation and getting a chance to show us what he could do on the court. Best wishes for a bright future, wherever that may be.

Nice comments by Eric at the end of this article: http://www.kansas.com/sports/college...144774949.html

Says he is not close to deciding where he will be going yet and will not take any trips until the end of April.

You mean not all kids go out guns blazing with an "F the coach" tweet?.

I guess that only applies if you are a new KU recruit

Time for the Lawrence PD to put their coffee down and get busy. Again.

Don't you mean pick up their coffee and look the other way?

Maybe I'm wrong, but my impression is that the players that have transferred from WSU have consistently left on good terms with no resentment or bitterness. In my opinion that speaks volumes about the relationships that the coaches have with the players.
ShockerNet is a rat infested cess pool.

If there were any harsh feelings, they are not publicly know.

He is talking about one of the Lawson kids who tweeted an F bomb at Tubby Smith on his way from Memphis to KU with his brother.
