What the heck are you talking about? Yeah, there are a large portion of KU fans who wish nothing but success for WSU. WSU is not KSU to KU.

1. Of course. Although I don't think any fan base will ever willfully accept their program is worse than another's. It is a fun debate that only a game would decide. 78-65. I mean, if someone asked me if UNC, the NC, was better than WSU...I'd probably respond with...."Let's see em' play".

2. Yes, most say generic nice statements about HCGM because they don't follow WSU enough. A relevant story of a KU fan that didn't like HCGM knew of only 1 thing about him: that he once called KU the chickenhawks. I found it baffling that is the only thing he heard, because I didn't even know that HCGM had said it. Weird circle he must have been in. But if you think about it, he likes WSU, but he thought the coach talked smack against KU. Now we have HCGM son on twitter bashing KU. Now this guy has a bad taste in his mouth about our program and coach.

Living out of state, WSU only gets interjected into the conversation when I do it. Here the debate is UGA and Georgia Tech. At least they play Football annually.

I wanted to up load a picture of me in my WSU sweater and my daughter's FIL in his Kentucky sweater. He grew up in Kentucky and his dad was a high school BB coach and idolized Kentucky. So my daughter's husband is a 3rd generation Kentucky fan and obnoxious. His montra is "who have you played, who have you played, who have you played."

I don't want to cause any trouble, but this is petty, stupid, and indicative of low confidence. Putting down KU should not equate to supporting WSU. Supporting WSU should be free of comparing itself to KU. You waste class time and student tuition on force feeding anti-KU, pro WSU fandom rhetoric. Hell, most of them get completely disjointed if one requests a KU game at Intrust (even against anyone other than the Shockers.) it reflects a strange hysteria that is extremely difficult to explain except for insecurity. Odd.
That is precisely what puzzles me regarding KU bandwagon fans in Wichita. KU and Bill Self don't give a crap about you or the Wichita metro area. You are nothing but a chump and it raises the question why the hell do you have any interest in KU if you didn't attend school there.

Ugh...no "most" don't, I know a few local KU fans that don't care for HCGM but you go to the JOCO Beakers.. you would think he is the devil. At best you will get the "I like the players... but.. can't stand their coach or the fans"

Fair points about WSU involvement, and how KU hate breaks down student/faculty barriers. Clearly I have triggered you when I said 'waste of student tuition'. I thought your comments were about basketball, which is all I care about. I find you dissing KU basketball to connect with WSU to be pathetic, but the connection is obviously more important than basketball. Regarding the comments about your GTA, I had said I'm sure it was in good fun, but I find it stupid. I still do. You are the annoying staff that disses KU all the time. We can agree it's stupid.

I'm going to go out on a limb and presume that at KU some of their professors might dis Mizzou. KSU's might dis KU, The entire Valley might dis WSU.

Putting down a perceived rival isn't pathetic, it's cultural. And it's not necessarily a bad thing.
