I've been to Creighton's arena. (I unfortunately have to live in Omaha) Where we hang Final Four banners, theirs all say "NCAA Tournament: PARTICIPANT."

You must have lived in Omaha for a long time. You know, long enough to see a game in an arena they owned.

Their banners are hanging right next to the UNO hockey banners.

          • So proud to be able, blessed, to support this program.

Mad freaking props to Dayton and their fans. That team is tough as nails and your fans are dynamite.

Those kids played their guts out, and 4 guys wore Scoochie down. Unreal effort.

            Incredible day. GO SHOCKS!!

            • There has been a lot of press pointing out our losses early in the season to which we have replied that we are not the same team today as we were then. This game reminded me a lot of the OSU game when we were schooled in IBA. Dayton game is proof we ARE NOT the same team. I think we survived the best defence we will see in the tourney, an elite SENIOR led defence. Just dont see a kentucky defence bringing the same intensity for 40 minutes as we saw last night. I DO see a shocker defence bring the same 40 minutes to a kentucky squad. I like our chances.

And a big shout out to Dayton and coach miller. Great team and great coach, CLASSY! I noticed an extended conversation between 3G and miller in the handshake line. Hopefully they were exchanging numbers to schedule a game or two. Would be a win-win for both teams and fan bases.

              • Man, that game was tough. Dayton gave us an incredible battle. They played defense the way we play defense with a veteran team and great guard play from Smith. But man, so proud of these young men. That's a game we wouldn't have won earlier in the season and probably wouldn't have had the offensive firepower to win last season. Looking forward to a prime time matchup with Kentucky on Sunday. What a great day to be a part of Shocker Nation.

                • All Hail the Shockers!

I'll give you all credit for 2 things:

                  1) Hitting open shots at crucial times. When you needed a big basket, it seemed like you always made it. As a Flyer fan, it was frustrating. As a basketball purist, it was exciting. I took my 20- and 17-year old sons to the game and despite the UD loss, they couldn't stop talking the entire 2-hour drive home about how great of a game the just saw...and the weren't talking about UK v NKU.

                  2) Cheerleaders. But with me, that's a given...unless we played NKU in which case I fall back on point 1.

God Bless you all and please beat Kentucky!

May our Royal paths cross again soon!

                  King Rollo the Thankful...OUT!

                    • Are there no full game replays this year on NCAA.com?

That was so smooth...little shake, little bake. I'm sure someone mentioned it before, but the series of blocks on one instance in the paint was just awesome. I think there were 3 or 4 blocks in a row but the Shocks. Some serious playing angry!

                            • I can't even remember a game that tight from start to finish. There had to be 15 lead changes and nobody ever pulled away. It was a great game.
