The thing is that now the Shocks have to take advantage of the opportunities to prove beyond a doubt that they are grossly under-seeded. Only one way to do that. Git 'er dun Shocks!

As a friend of mine said, and it may have been posted on there already...what if they announced #7 WSU vs #10 Dayton and the other side of the bracket was #2 Kentucky...? Would we have been ok with that?

Yes.

The problem is not the opponents WSU is lined up to face this year, but rather, the "yet again" snub that shows WSU is apparently going to get the shaft almost every year. In the future, falling 3 seeds (7 vs 10) won't be so meaningless. Next year, deserving a 4 and getting a 7 would really suck.

Yes. Though I think Dayton would have been under-seeded in that scenario.

I'm not mad about the 10 seed because of the matchup or the possible 2nd round game. I'm mad because it says 29-5 WSU is in the NIT. And I'm especially mad because it says Marshall should find a new job.

Wouldn't have felt the disrespect for the seeding, would've still been pissed off that we had to play Dayton (another hot mid-major) in the first round. Still would've been chomping at the bit for another shot at Kentucky.

You know .. maybe Muller isn't the worst thing for ISU ... Been gaining more and more respect for him in the last month. He took his beatings like a man and now is standing up for his team and the conference. Something the rest of the conference doesn't seem to want to do.

The committee, and probably everyone else outside the MVC, thinks we're the same team that can't beat anyone but patsies. Now is out time to prove that we've grown up and are ready to kick some ass.

Dayton is #36 in KenPom. That would equate to an 9 seed. Dayton is not underseeded as a 7. In fact, they are the weakest 7 seed this year according to Pomeroy.

Which means if they had 'Syracuse' written on their jerseys, they would be a 3 seed.
