My guess is 9 or 10 though I would prefer the 10.
Well, there you go. You may be correct. My point was simply if you are KU or a 1 you are hammering anybody who will listen that WSU as an 8 or 9 is just not right. So a 10 would be just fine in their eyes.

We are this year's Kentucky from 3 years ago. Stumbled early, finished strong, underseeded going into the tourney. Now we just need to follow through like that UK team did.

No way. That UK team was limping to the tournament. They lost 3 of their last 4 regular season games and eeked out a couple of others.

They earned that seed by losing 10 games. They just happened to show up after the KState game in March.

I wasn't actually responding to you specific post because I believe you have a valid point - I was responding to that fact that 72% of people who have voted think WSU is a 6 or 7.

Posters here aren't wrong. The committee, selection, and seeding process is just completely flawed. The system needs to be changed if a Top 20 ranked team with a 27 RPI, 10 KP, 30-4 record, regular season and tournament champion gets a 10 seed in the NCAA's.

            ... No really, deuces.

              I voted 7.

              We will see.

Should be based on neutral court in terms of what would be the most accurate seeding (and what Vegas does, i.e. set betting lines). National championship odds are discounted based on what we likely will be seeded.

I agree WSU should be seeded higher and if u go by KenPom much higher than what even the posters her are even projected. If the committee does grossly underseed Wsu then that may help bring change if WSU stomps some P5 schools. In this day and age it time to move out of the dark ages of RPI and move to something more predictive for selection and seeding.

Best TV ratings influence every decision, I assume.

The sad thing is even our Dark Ages RPI is up to 29 now. By their own piece of crap metric, we should be at worst a 7 seed.

But now things have shifted to "quality wins", which is also flawed, and losses aren't even factored into the equation anymore, unless you're a mid, which is just completely ludicrous.

#29 would be an 8 seed.

(You know I can't live with myself if all I do is agree with you, which has been the case this past week)

I agree. I just wish we would get a committee that would call them on it for once.

After reading Phognet this morning, I had to go with a 10 seed; seems like that might piss the KU gang off a little more than a 6 or 7 seed.

I don't care where we are seeded, as long as it is disrespectful and offensive to WSU. Angry works well around here. Line up the P5 bitches and let us have at 'em!

8/9 in Tulsa is what is going to piss them off the most. They've been whining about it nonstop the past few days. I love that someone pointed out that no one would care if Arkansas was the 8/9 in Tulsa even though they're closer than Wichita State. KU fans aren't terrified of Arkansas like they are Wichita State.
