Someone who was there and is on the Bradley board is saying that Marshall started the words with Brown (good, fine with it) and that he is the bad guy, others are saying that this is the kind of play that happens all the time. Marshall started nothing. Brown started it when he pushed a guy who was dunking in the back while in the air, which is not something that happens all the time or there would be fistfights every other game. It would be NCAA basketball meets the NHL, which would be a very good video game that I would buy in a heartbeat. It was a total bit ch move, hardly the end of the world but worth some words from Marshall.

There is also another guy, mentioned earlier as "tornado", who seems to be really pissed about Lutz saying our 2nd team could finsh 2nd in the Valley last year. He made a hilarious post, which we see often, about how they stayed with our 2nd team in the 2nd half like it was a big victory. Hey tornado, do you think guys play the same when they are up 30 as they do when they are up 8 or less? Do you think that maybe they were probably already thinking more about tomorrow? Did you see some walkons or guys playing a lot more than they usually do during that stretch? Stop with your lame moral victories. And oh yeah, OUR 2ND TEAM WOULD ABSOLUTELY BUTT#$%* THE BRADLEY STARTERS.

    What would our linup be?

    Smith
    Reaves
Keyser (maybe the weakest link but still serviceable)
    Kelly
    Nurger or Willis

Marshall would obviously have a bench that wasn't just walkons. The easiest way to give them a fake bench, and since they are all bench players right now, would be to just clone them and let them be their own bench. That team, in this shitty league, would absolutely be able to finish 2nd Mr. tornado.

I normally don't get this worked up over this stuff, but I have a headache and a case of the red ass because of it. I would post this over there but they don't want anyone challenging them, which is fine, it is their board after all, and I know they will see it anyway.

    • They are super butt hurt about being steam rolled. Whatever. There are 4 teams in the Valley that care about more than hanging another MVC Participation Banner. WSU, UNI, ISUr, SIU. Three of those do it the right way through character and talent, one just looks at the most talent they can get for $5 (turns out $5 pays a lot of bail). If the other 6 arent into cutting down nets and getting sized for rings, then they shouldnt ***** about getting steam rolled by a team that is.

      • Bradley is actually #2 on "caring" in the MVC. I actually liked the shouting match and I hope it leads to some fun competitiveness in the future.

Remind anyone of Carl Hall in his Final Four swan song? We can hope!

          • Tornado is wrong that we better remember that the "shoe will be on the other foot" someday in this conference - WSU isn't going to be in the conference much longer.

              • I think the quickest way to get HCGM riled up is to intentionally do things that injure or might injure his players. I don't have a problem with him pointing out to Brown (Bradley's Brown) that flagrantly fouling Darral while he was in mid-air was a dirty move. Just sticking up for our guys.

                • I wish I could relive the moment a little closer to Gregg. I'll bet Kellen knows what happened. I'll say this, Higgy shut down Gregg ASAFP and Gregg shut up. Best official in the country.

Bradley starters scored 28 points in 101 combined minutes. Wichita State's bench sccored 45 points in 105 minutes of playing time. Wichita State's 2nd five scored 39 of those 45 points in 67 minutes of playing time.

So for at least yesterday our second team did pretty much butt kick Bradley's starters.

                        • I had no issues with the exchange. Wardle has the program going in the right direction, which is great whether we stay in the MVC or not. I like the idea of Bradley as a rival much more than ISUr. Hopefully games in the future will be competitive and full of fire.

That's why it will be on the Bradley foot. They can have it

yeah i looked at the metrics and had to eat some crow on that. I would put them third because barrys passion makes up for a lot of shortcomings at SIU

                              • I didn't see the altercation between Brown and Marshall, but I'm surprised that the refs didn't bring the coaches together in the middle and make sure everyone was cool. I don't like seeing coaches yelling back and forth at each other.

They never showed Gregg on the TV, but did show Bradley's coach saying something to the affect of "Don't talk to my players" to Marshall. I get it, but if Brown popped off first, Gregg has a right to set him straight, at the same time, I can see Gregg spouting off too. :)
