    What a psychopath.

And that's why you shouldn't be bothered by what he says. Ever. He's a delusional loser with serious issues.

I can't comment on whether this kind of play happens all the time in Bradley games. Maybe it does. However, flagrant fouls are not that common generally.

In fact, I do not remember another flagrant foul in a Shocker game this year although relying on my memory is far from full proof. But I think to say that happens all the times is clearly not the case generally. My guess is that it is also relatively uncommon in Bradley games as well, but maybe not.

Yep. That's all it was. The same thing happened in Canada.

When somebody does something dirty, Marshall isn't gonna be too happy about it. He's emotional and he let Brown know about it. It was purely for his players' defense and having their back (literally). Brown looked like a major thug through the course of this game. This wasn't the only incident.

The funny thing is this won't turn into anything because Bradley will never be competitive against WSU. Bradley fans are spinning it (again) that they won 4 in a row for the first time in centuries (even though half of those wins were against Drake). They simply have no talent and even if they improve the low base talent they have, it'll still come nowhere close to a top-half Valley team. I'm sorry. They're terrible.

So for at least yesterday our second team did pretty much butt kick Bradley's starters.
Not to mention it was 11, 12, 13, and 14 that played about the last 8 minutes. Not only was it the bench, but the DEEP end bench that played the majority of the last of half of the half.

          tornado is a mental case.

I disagree. I think Brian Wardle is improving that program and I can see them becoming a top-half program in a couple of years. Of course, I am very hopeful Wichita State will not be in the top of the Valley at that point as well.

              I don't see it.

I do think their best chance to finish in the top half would be after WSU leaves though.

Look at the youth on the Bradley team. Look at the job Wardle did at Green Bay. It is not like Wardle will stop recruiting and not add some talent in the next couple of years and it is not like there are any behemoths in the Valley road blocking the path to a top 5 finish. it is not that big of leap. They tied for 6th this year. They went from 5-27 last year to 13-20 this year. It simply is not that big of a leap into the Top 5 of the Vallley.

                  • It's possible I guess, given the suckiness of the rest of the conference. Geno was also supposed to lead them back to the promised land and had a good track record at a previous school too. I guess time will tell.

                    • This is a tempest in a teapot. Both sides did things wrong. Warble challenged his players to "fight" all the way to the end. No big deal but
-one player took his words to another level with a very dangerous foul
-Bradley players continued to up the fouling and physical level and chippiness increased
-Marshall probably shouldn't have but he told Brown to tone it down.
                      -player verbally went after Marshall
-Instead of calling his team over and toning it down, then asking for a conference with coaches, Wardle yelled at Marshall
-Referees should have called for a conference and told them and players to tone it down.
-Chippiness and physical play continued and Shox didn't respond. Probably a good thing or a fight might have broke out.
-Marshall took matters into his hands and inserted bottom of bench with 8-9 minutes left to protect players. A good move.
-Wardle saw some mistakes he had made and pulled his starters with 6-7 minutes remaining. Another good move
-Game over. No big deal down the road. Coaches will be fine with some months separating this incident.
We could have won by 50 points if we wanted.

I didn't know this mole was still *ahem* reporting on the Shocks. When did he start watching Valley games?

The Shocks have beat the holy hell out of a lot teams this year without it getting overly chippy.

Hmm, I must've missed the chippiness in the 25 other blowouts administered by us this season.

This was also their only chance to make the big dance. That is THE big prize and struggling teams will still believe in it. That they could win this one tournament and get the ticket.

This tournament is always more cut throat. It is the natural result of only having one bid outside of WSU. In the other teams minds we have our prize and are now standing in the way of them getting theirs. And it makes for rough games.
