Darral will get a lesson today on how to pass out of a double team. Moments like that are what keep him from playing more.

To the point about only playing best 8 or pressing, I've had the same thoughts-if we're this deep why not run/press to wear the other team down? At this point I'm fine with playing 10-11, hopefully fewer minutes now will pay off later in the season when we do need to go wit the best 8.

We don't need to press a lot to wear the other team down, our depth already does that in many cases. At any rate while our press is effective at times, we do give up a lot of easy baskets with it. I think Marshall is using it to good effect right now as a change up, pressing more might be too much.

As far as the rotation I like playing the 10 we have now. The way I see it CF & LS should play about 30 min a game. That's enough to keep them in a good rhythm while not pushing them too hard, AR & DS can split the remaining 20 min depending on who is playing well. Let SM go as long as he can at the 5 with RN as a great backup. Where we have a logjam is at the 3 & 4 spots. ZB & MM should both play 25-30 min with MM splitting time between 3 and 4. RK should be first off the bench at the 4. That leaves DW as the odd man out but he should pick up some minutes at both the 4 and 5 although I think he is much better at the 4.

I guess everyone has a few warts. We just have to accept them and realize we have come out way ahead in all but a few areas.

Congratulations on the win. Despite all logic, going completely by gut feeling, I was thinking that we could keep it close for 30-35 minutes. And I was completely wrong. That was a dominant first half by WSU. I see two positives for Missouri State last night: 1. They competed in the second half. I was thinking they might quit and lose like SLU did. 2. The first half really makes it crystal clear and I mean crystal clear that it is time to make a coaching change in Springfield.

If his fire and passion that causes him to do those type of things goes away, he probably wouldn't be as good of a coach as he is. Most great college coaches are asses (Coach K, Calapari, Boeheim .. though he's a cheater too).

To everyone who thinks we played a good 30 minutes....no! We played a fantastic first 22 minutes. We jumped on them hard to start the 2nd half by scoring the first 7 points to take a 55-21 lead. The game only went down hill from there. Next 7 minutes, we were just coasting scoring only 9 points while giving up 10. Then the roof started to cave in. Even though we scored 14 points in 5 minutes, we gave up 19 with the last almost 6 minutes going 2-12.

That means MSU out scored us 41-25 over the last almost 18 minutes and it wasn't just on 11-16 on the roster.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing post game before HCGM came on and he wasn't buying any of it during the interview. Marshall even thought the team played fewer quality minutes than I did.

MSU lost, but probably feels confident they can not only play with us, but beat us at MSU. Hopefully, we don't start that game with a hiccup. I hope we have that "uninspired ball" out of our system the rest of the season.

I am not yet buying into the DS stock over CF and LS. He makes some good plays but continues to get lost in the half court defense and refuses to let the game come to him. The good he brings isn't worth "icing" CF or LS.
