If you were going to pull the fire alarm on purpose, you would want to do it at about 3 or 4 am and not a few minutes before they were going to get up anyway. That would be better to disrupt the team's sleep and possibly cause some sluggishness for a night game. I highly doubt the fire alarm was intentional.

The shootaround on the other hand has no good explanation. If the other team is still on the court because you couldn't tell time, just go back to the locker room.
