Smart just posted on Twitter that he got offered by Fresno State and Winthrop. He is a frosh at a New Mexico JC but is eligble to transfer this year.

Winthrop, of course, is Marshall's old haunting ground, so I'm trying to figure out how to weave this into my grand conspiracy theory.

Why would a player de-commit from Loyola, later to announce he got an offer from Winthrop? People want to know.

He committed to LUC, then went to Sunrise. Lolola land thought for sure WSU was tampering. And then he didn't come to WSU either. I think he's at a JuCo now.

Just need to coast through this game and then get to Saturday healthy so we can bring everyone back to reality who thinks Illinois State can challenge Wichita State for a Valley title.

I just can't imagine the Ramblers coming into Koch and leaving with a victory, not with the way this team seems to be coming together at this point in the season. I do suspect, however, that the Ramblers will make a game of it in the first half. I'm not convinced they've faced a defense as long and determined as our Shox.

I just can't wait to see who the leading scorer will be in this game. Will Shaq find a way to stay on the court tonight? Did Willis learn anything from Sunday's trip to Cedar Falls? How will our bigs handle the smaller lineup of Loyola? Or will 3G go with his own smaller lineup?

Finally, will the team be focused on the Ramblers and not be looking ahead to the Redbirds? We can count on the fact Marshall and staff certainly aren't looking past Loyola but this is still a somewhat young team coming off a nice road win. I'm sure their confidence is up but this Loyola team is dangerous.

The Ramblers keep it close in the first half but can't keep up with the horses we have in our stable and lose by double digits in the Roundhouse.

My guess is it will still be on ESPN3 for those not in the blackout area, which is part of the broadcast/streaming deal the Valley has with ESPN. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
