Here are some Stats. that will knock yourn socks off just gleaned from the Official MVC Site. Ya'll ready for this? These are stats for Conference play only

1. Rauno Nurger leads the MVC in FG Pct. at .778 and is 14-18 in Conference play. You like? MM is 5th at .567 and Shamet 6th at .564. That puts 3 Shocks in the top 10 in this category.

2. Austin Reaves, A Freshman is the 3 point pct. leader at .700--7-10 in the MVC thus far. What a torrid pace, even if you were a Senior.

3. Landry Shamet, another Freshman, leads the Valley on the assist to turnover ratio at 9.0 with 18 assists and only 2 turnovers. What? Yes, it is true according to the MVC Official Site.

I know it's on CSN Chicago up here in Illinois with UNI @ Bradley on at 8, not sure if that led to the earlier start time. They've been broadcasting midweek MVC doubleheaders like this the last couple of seasons

Coach Marshall has some great practice tactics and drills on free throws as he mentioned on the Coach's Show tonight. It must be working as noticed in the last game totals of 15-16. I like it.

With early fouls on Willis, Shaq, and McDuff, Nurger stepped in and played a whale of a game. In fact, at this stage, he is the most improved Shocker on our team as he has been coming on every game lately. It is quite a luxury to have three very capable 5's whereby by we don't lose a step no matter who is playing.

We shot horribly against UNI last year in Saint Louis and redeemed ourselves Sunday.

Let's not forget that we also shot horribly against Loyola in SL and it took Ron's heroics to get us to Saturday. I predict better shooting Wednesday and another redemption. No heroics required.
