WSU VERSUS DRAKE PREDICTIONS AND PREGAME DISCUSSIONS

Heard a radio spot promoting the Drake game on KEYN 103.7 around 1:40 this afternoon. I think it was Dandy Don Hall who recorded the spot. In anycase he said the Drake game on Thursday night.

I was glad I heard that because I was thinking the game was on Wednesday. Got back to the office, check the schedule on goShockers.com and, oops, it is on Wednesday.

Reported it to the Atheltic Department office. Happened once previuosly this year for a Shocker volleyball match. On that one they had the day right but had the wrong time.

I can see it now. Triple OT, Shocks are down 74-71 in the last 10 seconds. The rock is heading wildly out of bounds under the Shocker basket. Willis jumps out of bounds and still in the air throws it behind him as MM (plain or peanut) saves it with a backward volley to Shaq (who is back) and he whips it behind his back out to Austin just behind the 3-point line. The clock is ticking and with 1 second left, Austin fires the 3-point shot so high the rock brings rain---nothing but the tickling of the twine and a dagger to the Bulldogs dreams--but hark--we shant forget the rest of the drama--because it is never over till it is over- Austin also gets fouled at the buzzer. Almost forgot to tell you that part. AR walks up to the charity stripe, motions for 3G to focus in as AR closes his eyeballs and nails the throw for the 75-74 surpass. Not bad for a Freshman even though killer sprints await them all right after the game for this publicity stunt? YIKES!!! And we all lived happily ever after because there is no place like 21st and Hillside to win Shocker games, No?

Other than MM (plain or peanut or crispy [So good, they're back.]) chucking a side volley instead of a backward volley, I think we have the same vision for the outcome of this game.

Yup, WSU scheduled a Girls game before, and a mascot game before that, and a girl scout game before that and then you can't forget the dog trick show practice. Sorry 730 am is the only available time (besides the prime time we are keeping for ourselves)
