  • I just always love how UNI fans were so chirpy about their recent NCAA success. Washpun's horribly bad bricked lucky ass bouncer was their free ticket to the NCAA's. Sure they would have went into OT and still could have won, but if that shot reacts like 99% of any other shot that lands there, it's not a win. And then they need a half-court prayer against Texas to move on in Round 1. There were a couple of lucky shots away from being another CIT team again.

UNI fans have forgotten that they're still 12-12 right now. They are a .500 team. They have ZERO Top 100 wins. They have SEVEN RPI 100+ losses. TWO 200+ losses. They have lost to freaking Bradley and Evansville. They are NOTHING compared to their lucky run last year.

They are the most ignorant fanbase on the planet.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

They're like the friend that shows up to help you move super late after all the furniture and heavy boxes are done. They grab the paper towels, then tell everyone they helped so much in the move. That's literally the type of argument their fans make about "keeping the valley afloat"

        • Wow, they're still sore about McDermott going to play for his dad.... 7 years later.

I don't think Doug would have carried them to the Sweet 16's and Final Fours they are guaranteeing in that abysmal display of an offense.

They start at least one new thread about this every year.

Does it suck? Yes, but everyone should understand the circumstance.

This is the part I don't get. They had more meaningful success without Dougie than CU did with him.

                  • Exactly. He 100% didn't fit into UNI's system which is predicated on defense first. Doug has shown he has zero interest/ability in playing defense both at sCUm, or in the pros. Granted...could his scoring plus the other defenders UNI had made a difference? No one will ever know, so get over it!

If you would ask just about any MSU fan they would tell you not no, but hell no. Now whether MSU's players can somehow overcome Lusk and a play at their peak they might be able to pull an upset. Of course, that will hold true as well when the Shockers visit Springfield to close out the regular season.

                      • Well, as far as Jailbirds vs. Inked Hillbillies is concerned, just remember the game in semi-Normal: McIntosh put up 21 to lead the Jailbirds to a 74-71 OT win. He won't be a factor this time around, so who knows?

Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

There's a lot of slipping going on. Evansville needs to address their floor issues.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.
