Other Valley Conference Games Thread 2016-2017

I'd like to see WSU finish at 17-1 and the Jailbirds at 16-2, because I think that will make the best national impression (to the extent that anything in the Valley makes a national impression unless someone(s) is / are ranked, like the Shocks and UNIs were in the Gameday season). But it does look as though the weight of that zero in the loss column may be starting to get a little heavy for IlSt.

i'd like to have seen wichita state win one, just one, one of their "big" games already- louisville, michigan state, oklahoma state, illinois state on the road.. whatever.

Drake shot up to #260 range after the game last night. They are officially out of the dumpster and now merely a bad team. If they can win a couple more and get to #200 range they will graduate to mediocre along with the rest of the MVC.

In a season like this, I'm just choosing to be entertained by it. We are still more than capable of controlling our destiny anyway. It will be interesting though to see if Loyola can find a way to crack the top 100. If they can pull that off and we complete the sweep and also get two more wins over Illinois state somehow our resume might start to look a little better

Bare minimum, Loyola needs to go 11-7 in the league and win Friday in St. Louis to finish top 100. At 5-4 right now, and with WSU and @ISUr stil remaining, it is possible, but quite a long shot.

Carlson already has two T's on the year. Probably should've had a third.

UNI has a deceivingly high amount of dirty in them. It's absolutely mind-numbing how much they get away with though.

Valley standings are continuing to sort themselves out properly. I'd like to see Barry complete the sweep of the bares and I'd REALLY like to see Evansville ruin Illinois States weekend. I know we are supposed to root for Illinois State up until we face them but I just don't care :) I want to run the table, seal our own fate and watch them fall apart and have a great time in the NIT.
