Nice game for Willis and Shaq off the bench on a night of wholesale substitution on steroids. Other than the early part of the 2nd half, the Shocks seemed focused and in an executing mode. Nice passing by Nurger tonight.

A med student in his first rotation in an emergency room gave a patient 10 x the maximum dose of a local anesthetic. Caused the patient to have seizures, but nothing serious. The doc in charge of the emergency room said, "We can learn a lot more from our mistakes than we can by always doing everything right".

If that theory can be applied in an emergency room, it can certainly be applied in a basketball game.

Keyser had a lot of opportunities to learn tonight.

Pep Band was pretty good. Enjoyed their halftime performance. Perhaps about the ony real pep in the arena.

Some good, some not so good, some things to build on, some things to work on.

Neither Daishon nor Conner were much of a force tonight.

What does any of it mean? I guess that's why 3G makes the big bucks.

3G said in the post-game that they only practiced once since returning from the Bahamas and it wasn't that good. They played better tonight than they did in that one practice.

At times I didn't think our defense was that good but credit SNU they did have some good quickness.

Was glad to see 15-20 (75%) from the line No reason this team should be around that mark consistently from the line.

Time to get focused and finish off the non-con with good solid fundamental and team oriented play.

First true road game of the season coming up.

That was the quietest, most Creighton-like crowd I've witnessed at CKA in a long, long time. It sounded like everybody's dogs died tonight or something. But given the hype and expectations of the Bahamas, its play and result, and the opponent here tonight it was a recipe for a library type environment. Still pretty pathetic. And the sell out streak is gone. I guess there's more bandwagon in this fanbase than we'd like to believe. I think a lot of people take this program for granted. Whatever.

The game itself was just really boring since there was no energy. Interesting lineups. I'm not sure how much this type of game helps them for their first and only true non-con road test of the year. I hope to hell a spark will be lit.

I think they are struggling to find an identity, a leader. Connor is way too passive, McDuffie doesn't start, Shaq can't stay on the floor, etc, etc. Tons of potential though... Next few games are huge... Need to start building the resume.
