Off topic and I'm not sure how much it would affect attendance, but is selling beer at CKA an option? We can bring beer into Eck for baseball, but not for NCAA regional/super regional. But we can buy beer at IBA and St Louis for basketball, but it was dry NIT finals at MSG in NY.

I don't feel the box office is to blame. Fans have become spoiled by having a team the last few years who have won 75-80%+ of their games and playing a D2 opponent mid week 8 games into the year was going to be difficult to attract an energetic crowd. Throw in the (highly discussed) promos during breaks instead of the band and students were well aware it was going to be a "boring" game.

I realize basketball is a winter sport, but I'd like to see some tailgating type activities before these early season games while the weather is nice. I do wish beer was an option at Koch or the student center was closer to the arena for pregame enjoyment. I think these things make for more of the "experience" people now a days demand.

The innovation campus should help a bit with this. I'm hoping there will be a few good restaurants go in. They would be great to have a bite to eat then walk to CKA. I'm not sure if Alcohol will be allowed to be served at those restaurants though.

Gee, people might even have driven down from Omaha for that -- you know how they love their beer.

A little birdie told me that there is a fair chance beer will be sold at CKA after January 1st.

Give River City a stand and let them sell whatever they want.

The Shocker Grill in the basement of the RSC serves beer and some of their food isn't that bad either.

And there is often a decent crowd gathered there to have a pregame beverage, but the distance to walk seems longer then when I was going to class at WSU and walked all over campus.

Never noticed it being that crowded in the half a dozen or so stops I have made there. My grandson loves their deep fried mozarella sticks though.

They also had game night specials for all these November games. I hope they continue that! I usually park in the southside lots in that area anyway, and making part of the walk through the RSC is right on the way!
