Watchman, I know basketball and I gave all of KU's Tourney opponents "The Eye Test" and I declare that it was the easiest path to the F4 in the history of college basketball. Davidson was the exception. They were good and they nearly won.

That Eye Test is simply indefensible...

Forget the RPI, forget eveything else. I know basketball and I gave them "The Eye Test".

Certainly not many teams have made the final four while playing only 1 losable game. It was a blessed path to be sure. Much like a swinging bunt in baseball, it still counts the same though.

I am not a KU apologists, however, I think many people are wrong on this issue. The same was said about us in the Sweet 16 run. Facing an overrated Seton Hall team and a Tennessee team that did not deserve a number 2 seed. We didn't draw up the bracket and just played the teams that were presented to us. The same applies to KU.

So people need to get a grip. I freakin' hate KU and you know it. But I do respect what they have done and that they are in the Final Four. I wish we were in the Final Four.
This is a rare occurrence where I'm going to agree with KC. It's one thing to hate a team (I know there are few I can't stand... ahemm), but when you vocally hate them for all the wrong reasons it comes off more like an obsession than any rational thought.

Then again, rational thought often has no place in sports fandom, so hate on!

Exactly, I seriously doubt KU is going to put an asterisk on the Final Four banner that says "Easy Path" either. UCLA had a pretty easy path as well but nobody on here seems to reference that. I'd bet good money that Davidson is better than Xavier, Villanova is better than W. Kentucky and UNLV is better than TAM.

I'd even say that, going by the way they were playing last weekend, I'd take Davidson against Texas, Xavier, or Louisville.

It's hard to say that Davidson was really underrated and given a really bad seed on one hand, and say that KU had an easy schedule because they played a lowly 10 seed on the other.

no shocker fan should rout on a team whos fans make comments like, wsu could never compete with us, or wsu is like a high school team, while their team wont play us. has a history of cheating, and a history of digging up dirt on us.

                screw ku

That's an interesting twist and one I had avoided until now.

We all know that the next time WSU makes it further in the NCAA Tournament than KU, just like in 2006, that most KU fans WILL NOT pull for WSU. The only reason it happened somewhat in '06 was that Turgeon was the coach.

You can already see it developing. We used to have more KU fans on this board, but no nearly so much anymore. When Turgeon left, their tiny shred of WSU fandom went with him. So the next time WSU does anything that shows up KU we will see the hate and we will see the investigators descend like vultures on a fresh kill.

I tend to think there is a correlation between winning percentage and the number of other team's fans on our board.

WSU showed up KU in baseball last year with an 18-3 win. I didn't see any investigators after that one.

                          I think..........

                          1. Memphis wins it all
                          2. I may or may not watch the KU-UNC game saturday
                          3. ASM should use spellcheck

I am pulling for KU to win it all. If they do I will probably win the bracket group that I joined. If they lose at any point now I am done. Go (choke-choke) Jayhawks. Even without the bracket group I would probably root for KU over UNC and UCLA, probably not over Memphis though.

So, you've got a win-win going. KU wins it all=paycheck, KU chokes=it's almost just as much fun.
