Frankamp isn't looking to shoot all of that often, even when he does have a window to get a shot up. Maybe the reason he isn't filling it up is that he's passing up the shots in order to get other guys an even better look? I've seen CF turn down a good shot to get someone a WIDE OPEN shot too many times to count already through 4 games. The biggest thing you have to consider is what is the rest of the offense doing at these times that CF is open and ZB is not passing to him? Is ZB waiting for a cutter to pop open? An off ball screen to take place? Too often people watch the ball and don't realize/understand what is taking place away from it. I have not noticed any 'odd' behavior as it comes to passing to teammates, not saying it doesn't exist, but I haven't noticed. IMO this team shares the ball exponentially better than last year's team, which is why this team could potentially exceed last year's success.

If there was a problem with Brown consistently not passing to the open man, the coaching staff would be addressing it. From what I can tell, ZB is a tremendous young man with great character, and he is not playing selfish. Marshall would not put up with selfish play, and this team is way too deep for a player to stubbornly refuse to follow the direction of the coaching staff. If this was truly a problem, ZB would be sitting on the bench. Period.Last edited by Shocker-maniac; November 22, 2016, 08:54 AM.ShockerNet is a rat infested cess pool.

The coaching staff said over this summer that they want ZB to be more aggressive and look to drive the ball more (like Tekele). He worked on his handles and driving in the offseason. I don't think ZB is ball hogging. Probably just doing what the coaches are asking of him.

Although it did seem like no one wanted to pass the ball to CF last year, I have not noticed it at all this year, and definitely haven't seen any hesitation on Brown's part to pass to CF.
CF does not get many open looks, and when he does still looks too hesitant to pull the trigger a lot of the time. Then ends up forcing some shots. Maybe this is due to defenses keying on the known shooter. I am confident that CF will be fine and proceed to drain lots of 3s this year."The more difficult the victory, the greater the happiness in winning."

If Zach isn't passing the ball back, it's a good thing because it means the offense is working and there isn't a need to reset.
See, you might not be used to seeing real offensive sets. In Larrytown, they don't do that as much as just play playground ball. Whether that is because of collective BBIQ or laziness or both, idk. But here in Wichita, basketball is deeper than just throwing a bunch of talent on the floor and saying "Play ball!" I dunno if anyone on the team is thinking about feeding a certain player or not. What I see is basically up to 10 guys capable of putting the ball in the hoop and no one caring who it is that gets the job done. CF has shown glimpses, but has yet to demonstrate that he demands to get the ball whenever he is open to maximize his attempts. If we have that guy on the team, I would say it's McDuffie. That guy has shown that he can score inside, outside and everywhere in between."When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." Better have some sugar and water too, or else your lemonade will suck!

What I've noticed on Brown is that when he gets the ball, he already knows if he is going to shoot or drive. When he drives, he does not look to kick the ball back out. I'm not sure that's a bad thing, but he has chosen to score rather from 2 feet rather than hit the open shooter on the wing.Livin the dream
