I don't always agree that the millennials are an entitled and pampered generation...

HOWEVER, that was funny right there. Well played.

I never said that other people didn't have other things going on, but I'm sure if those people felt like there were more important things that needed to be done they would not be at the games. Just like students.

All of those things can happen, but they don't.

Care to take a look at these Shocker Blast emails?

Second item : Get your free men's basketball tickets for upcoming home games

Get your free tickets on Tuesday, Nov. 15, for men's basketball game this weekend
“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Agreed, but so is the empty seat thing in the student section.

Simple fix. Reduce the number of student tickets available and sell the remainder each game as GA. The students who never show up aren't out anything, the non-season ticket holding public might actually get to see a game, the AD gets more revenue, and there's more butts in seats to create an even louder and more raucous environment.

Yes, students do have other priorities, and they can't be faulted for that. However, if something is important enough, you'll take an active role in making that happen, not a passive one. That's the "real life" aspect in all of this.

If going to the game isn't important enough to seek out the information, fine. There's nothing wrong with that. Just be careful about misdirecting the responsibility.

Also, students are paying increased fees as part of the Roundhouse renovation, hence the free tickets. So there isn't a comparison to those students who attended prior to 2003.

Yessir. Tickets in section C, row 28. Up behind WSU's bench...way up.

I came on here to get everyone's opinion of the game -- you know, the game happening tonight -- Tulsa vs. Wichita State. Start another thread if you want to *****, comment, whatever about the students or elite WSU fans that don't show up until conference play. Now, can we please get back to the issue at hand -- the game -- and if anyone has any insight into how good or bad Tulsa is.

I think is clear that no one here cares about your "e-mail" when you can use perfectly good stamps and the postal service! Don't even get me started on social media!

Great job. You found ONE Shocker Blast that mentions more than "students get free tickets".

I'm not really sure what's so controversial about this. Obviously the school is not reaching students. They should figure out how to reach students.

I always love it when someone has an account for two and a half years and something finally gets them to post.

I think the debate is they are reaching student .. the students just don't care.
