He'd go for 20-25 at Creighton. He'd be a great suburban horse player, but he's got a lot more game than those teams use.

Defensive scout of the Shox is going to be a "pick your poison" thing for the foreseeable future. I'm starting to feel a bit more comfortable that Keyser won't see a need to trfr to get some PT. Then next year's underclass group is:

    PG - Reaves (So) - 6'5
    SG - Shamet (So) - 6'4"
    SF - Keyser (So) - 6'4"
    C - Miitgard (Fr) - 7'0"

That's a more complete lineup than Ron and Fred had working with them most of their careers.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

I want to see him jump over a box out for a rebound but not dunk it- just look down into the hoop and drop it though the cylinder.

Don't forget, Aargh, that McDuffie will also be an underclassman (jr) next year. A good group of non-seniors indeed.

I'd prefer to see Keyser play a more natural position at SG. A bit undersized for the 3 position

            Wasn't Cotton something like 6'2"?

If Keyser is supposed to be a SG, he's a potential transfer. He'd be sharing time with Shamet, and Reaves is already backing the SG position.

Did you forget MM or have you concluded that he will move on to the NBA after this season?

IMO RB and FVV never played on a roster as "complete" during their Shocker careers.

Keyser came to WSU hoping to be the next Tekele Cotton, Sly. Whether he has the same mentality is something we'll have to find out; but we already know that he's taller, and Tekele was, shall we say, a fairly serviceable SF even at his size.

Their Soph year was a pretty solid roster

I don't think people realize how good our bench was that year. Wiggins, Coleby, Lufile were all very underrated. Provided depth and versatility.

Agree with you but I still think this year's bench is beyond anything RB and FVV enjoyed. And if The Great Dane proves himself - then IMO next year has the potential to be truly special.

I always assumed Tekele played the 2-guard and Ron moved over to the 3. ZB has started the last two seasons at the 3 being 6'6". Just IMO the best option to have more size, but I haven't seen enough of Keyser yet to make any real observations.

How about that penetration and pinpoint pass by CJ. When our #11 score 11 in the first half, you know you are in deep dew dew!!! #12 understand this game much better than most Frosh. IMO.

It was a joy to see our 3 Freshmen all play good games today. CJ may end up being the best defender of the 3 before they are all done and while he is not in the 10 man rotation right now, he did lots of positive things today. #11 had 15 points and 6 assists today which is a solid day's work at the office. Austin makes 14 points in 11 minutes and was rebounding and hustling as well. How do you make that many points so quick? Just don't miss and that is exactly what Austin did. As we look ahead as the years pass by, these 3 players will be something else in their careers.

No doubt, all three of them played great. With a little development, CJ will definitely be a force like Landry and Austin. Coach has us reloaded for sure.

Austin shooting 19-34 from three (55.9%) will do wonders for Brown, Shamet and Frankamp on the perimeter and opening up the lane. What I really like is Austin playing good position defense. He spoiled it twice today be using his hands, but he plays smart team defense, even though he may not be the quickest of the guards on the team. The extra 5"-6" he possesses in height helps tremendously.
