The real reason for getting into the Top 25 is if many newspapers in mid-size towns across the country are like metro Daytona Beach, that is virtually the only way that WSU gets any mention at all in the sports page, except for a rare listing in the Mid-West section of the scores column.

I think #s 22-27 will be an absolute log jam. WSU could be almost anywhere in this mix. Will be interesting to see.

I'll say we come in on the AP Poll at #27 today. Might move ahead of Creighton, hard to say as Creighton won on the road at #16 Butler, but then lost at home to #27 Xavier.

Just 4 points tallied so far out of 9 ballots. The good news is that none of those ballots include the 3 we received votes from last week.

Guessing we clock in with ~25-30 points and will be in the 26th or 27th slot. I'd be fine with that.

These polls are an odd thing.

Truth be told, Villanova could beat, let's say, UNC twenty times in a row. And UNC still might be the 2nd best team in the country.

I enjoy the attention our program gets these days. Personally, and for what it's worth (I concede not much at all) I don't think we should be ranked in the top 25 nor do I really think we are a top 25 team right now.
