If we run the table in Atlantis, then we will absolutely be ranked. I still think we crack the Top 25 with a 2-1 record in Atlantis with the loss being in the finals.

To get into the NCAA tourny, we might have to run the table since our Valley brethren are busy taking turns pooping in the bed.

With wins over Long Beach State, Tulsa, LSU, and either Mich St/Baylor/VCU, I think WSU would be in the 22-25 range in the poll on Nov 28, as long as the loss to Louisville wasn't a blowout.

GM has built a great team. Team. We have good players, but the last 2 games have been played as a team. They all have a role and they all seem to have bought into their role. I love this team. I know it's early, but these guys ae playing loose and easy. I think they have the talent to beat anyone as long as we play as a team.

Don't underestimate having Jans back scouting too.
I completely agree! If we keep playing like we have been then this team will be a nightmare to everyone. But like I said I have a feeling we're going to beat lsu and Louisville!!! And who knows we might win it all! I'm loving how everyone is playing with heart and as a team.

A little reverse psychology to play on the minds of LSU prior to B4A? As in, "Naw, nothing to see here, those guys aren't that good. You boys can handle those Shockers from Wichita."

I think he was scouting last year as well on a game-by-game contract basis. Still much better to have him on the bench to share his insights with 3G.

On the other hand, wouldn't it be better LSU to lose to a Top 25 WSU team rather than losing to an unranked WSU team?

That would be a pretty good resume. Of course, not better than losses to Indiana and Duke, but pretty good nonetheless.

Right now we are GOOD!!! Like really good. Loosey-goosey. Confident. Etc. Going 10-deep is INSANE!!! I always look at a good to great team on how can you beat them. From the first 2 games...it looks very difficult for an opponent to beat Wichita.

Having said that...they keep their defense intensity up throughout the season and stay FOCUSED on assignments and fouls...this offensive machine is looking squarely in the mix for an April date in Phoenix. Too much fire power!!!

If our margin of victory stays in the mid-to-upper 30's range, that's not going to do a lot to prepare the team for B4A.

It does look like the Canada trip and the Augusta game paid some dividends in terms of playing with intensity with a lead. The competition for playing time is showing up on the court in games. Even the walkons look like they're playing with poise and confidence.

Unless it remains in the mid-to-upper 30's range throughout B4A. :)

If they can win one of those, or at least make them really close, I think people will start to look at WSU and think "They beat them by 37? Maybe we should take a closer look".

That's a good reference point .. but that would drastically change if they manage to pull off a victory over UNC, Louisville, or UCLA.
